And I think if you get a 1 day ban, and afterwards you don't get banned again for about 3 months then it should expire, like they did on the old forum.

Most of the infractions that are currently given last 90 days.

MrGaryy 29-03-2010 11:07 PM

tbh most of the current crop of regulars wouldn't have lasted on old tibb for half as long.

Iceman 29-03-2010 11:11 PM

never had a ban or infraction to my knowledge, all for people being permabanned MM&I 147

_Seth 31-03-2010 07:45 PM

No way, just have a normal ban last from 3 - 7 days. Longer and longer after than. Then eventually a permaban.

Ramsay 31-03-2010 07:55 PM

ive never been banned:)

MrGaryy 31-03-2010 07:55 PM

UM I THINK TODAY SPEAKS VOLUMES OF HOW THIS IS NEEDED.

The past few days in fact.

I agree, it needs to be brought back. I've seen loads of people who've been banned only to return and act just as bad. It's unfair on the mods as well, I like Jayson's idea of 5 bans and then it's permanent. Otherwise people will just continue to break the rules and that's not setting a good example really is it?

Bans nowadays are more of a 'cool' thing to have, so bringing back the permaban would soon make them uncool

Stu 31-03-2010 09:02 PM

I don't agree with three strikes and your out, we could end up loosing a lot of quality members due to three rule breaks that could or could not have been handed out, but we definately need a stricter system to stem the flow of idiots.

I dont know, I havent had a ban, so I dont personally see how it would be cool

It used to be fun back in the old days when I and many others were banned for serious reasons. I mean things got pretty heated and personal and sometimes it was a major shock.

These days it's petty reasons. Alot are pretty pointless and while alot of the members are to blame for their bans, obviously if you do the crime expect to do the time. I do think that some moderators need to get off their high horse. Yes, you have a job to do and yes you can ban people. Woop-dee-doo, learn to take a joke and get a backbone instead of hiding behind your ban buttons. This goes for the admins too.

With that being said, all my bans have been my fault  nobody else's. You just gotta deal with it. I'm alot more mature now these days and alot of the younger members now will realise that too.

That's a good point our bans were true badges of honor years ago for superior, comedic trolling. These days they are like a devalued currency and a whole new merry band of twats have took over with unfunny trolling where arguments are no surprise because they happen every day.

Yeah, true.

I remember mine and Red Moon's arguement. He who shall not be named......... Roy. That was well worthy of a ban it was a fun night and was talked about for ages afterwards.

Now all you have to do these days is tell a moderator they're a closet gay and you get banned. there's nothing wrong with closet gays, I'd still **** you if you're in a closet :amazed:

Exactly. Besides, everyone knows the only reason James is in the closet is because he locked himself in.

[I kid. See kids? QUALITY TROLLING].
