I think all (or at least most) of these have already been suggested but I wanna second them :D
- Madness - Blondie - Eurythmics - The Specials - Pink Floyd |
They are Emily :p
I just don't think they're that good. Like. Karma Chameleon and Do You Really Want To Hurt Me are good songs - but there're better bands of that kind of reggae-ska-influenced era. The Specials are a good example. Even Madness. |

Siouxsie and The Banshees.
|
Do bands have to play instruments? Or is it groups?
|
I guess they don't, but they should at least write their own material.
|
Damn I'd include Sugababes if Keisha was still there, she wrote alot.
|
Oh and echoing Bob Marley, definately.
|
what's wrong with n-dubz?

It's 3 chavs, one in a silly hat, jumping and shouting.

not even going to answer that.
-looks at iTunes- The Doors, The Kinks, ELO, The Jam, Joy Division, Led Zeppelin, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Primal Scream, The Strokes, T. Rex, The Supremes, The Temptations, Velvet Underground |
All Time Low
*Joke* |

All Time Low Paramore |
Im not even sure why Paramore cant be entered?
|
Because they've released 3 albums of songs that all sound the same?
|
ELO & Velvet Underground. Hmm. Bought CD's by both of them last week but was disappointed that "All tomorrows parties" was not on the VU one. I would add the Cocteau Twins but it would be pointless.
Have we had Queen? |

Not really looked into Cocteau Twins - am I right in thinking they provided vocals for Massive Attack's "Teardrop"? |

Tracy Thorn from Everything But The Girl also did vocals for "Protection" by Massive Attack. She has a great voice too. Very different. Nothing extensive, but pleasant. I shall add The Beautiful South. |

Paramore probably wouldn't even figure into my top 64 of the noughties. Bloc Party, The Strokes, White Stripes, Killers, Muse, Foo Fighters, Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Scissor Sisters, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Gorillaz, Queens of the Stonage, Arctic Monkeys, Daft Punk, The Enemy...all better. even in their own little emo pack there're better acts: Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, HIM, AFI... |

But they are great imo |
All Time Low then and my point still stands.

I hate when HIM get pigeonhold as emo becase of some of the new fans. They were putting out great guitar records in the 90's before the emo fad.
Let's throw in Kraftwerk, for signifigance sake. |
Okay. This is just a shortlist of 64...they're not necessarily the final list:

I think ive probably heard around 10 of those Bands music
 |
Girls Aloud should be on that list. And Paramore.
|
i love Take That, Snow Patrol and Kings Of Leon :D
