I wonder what he'd be like if Switerzland had a goal dissalowed in the World Cup final

only do it for goals, the play's already stopped. works in rugby.

Then the moment of a goal being scored, when you know it is a goal, is gone as the players have to wait for the goal to be reviewed.

GiRTh 27-06-2010 07:32 PM

Seedorf just a made a good comment that England play like individuals and not a team.

Saying england get over it, wont do that! LOL!

Locke. 27-06-2010 07:33 PM

They introduced it in tennis, the players can challenge the referee's decision up to 3 times each match. Once they challenge it it gets put up on the screen.

If it can happen in tennis it can happen in football.

GiRTh 27-06-2010 07:37 PM

All other sports that have technology are basically stop start sports that dont flow in the same way that football does. Its different in football for sure, but the events in this game and the England game make the whole sport look like a bit of a joke. Something has to be done.

Often you only know if something is wrong with a goal until they show a replay. So you would have to review every goal.

Anyway... great goal.

GiRTh 27-06-2010 07:47 PM

Tevez struck that so well. No problems with the ball for him.

it's no problem in rugby where you'll note not every try is challenged/questioned. I see no reason why the ref/players would challenge every goal.

Really feeling for Mexico here. Offside first goal, shocking defensive error for the second, and a wonder strike for the third. Before that first goal they'd been well in the match. Terrible stuff.

Nemo123 27-06-2010 07:58 PM

f00king gas if that was a goal!

Blatter's worst nightmar

Wildcat! 27-06-2010 07:59 PM

NICE one! Deserved goal!

setanta 27-06-2010 08:00 PM

Beautiful goal. Come on Mexico.

Locke. 27-06-2010 08:00 PM

Another great goal.

Possibly the best match of the tournament so far this.

KG. 27-06-2010 08:00 PM

Another great goal!

Wildcat! 27-06-2010 08:01 PM

Argentina is my team, but their defense really can be taken!

I think they will lose if they go to the next round!

Walter 'The Wall' Samuel is injured. He'd have made a difference

I'm not convinced either.

Locke. 27-06-2010 08:04 PM

Mascherano is the best at what he does. If Germany try the same plan they did today with the counter attacks, then they'll have a much harder job accomplishing it.

Argentina are more clinical up front than us aswell.

Nemo123 27-06-2010 08:04 PM

no replay of Heintze's clearence

Locke. 27-06-2010 08:11 PM

I predicted 3-1 :)
