-   -   Is Dave breaking the law? (https://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146406)

I found it odd when he nominated Covan he claimed he loves all people, including blacks, gays, witches and demons and such...STRANGE

He used this terminology again, when he was trying to claim he was not homophobic in the bedroom also.

I have noticed Dave has nominated every black person in the house, the man is a low belled snake.

He even lied and claimed Rachael flashed her private parts to him.

I have nothing wrong with Religion, but I find everything wrong when someone is hiding behind religion and is really a total sneak.

Bigbrofan25 10-07-2010 03:56 PM

The law decides whats free speech or not There are acts of law which were passed in recent years such as the incitement religious hatred act and the incitement to homophobic hatred laws

These laws are required to protect people from abuse and hatred it is only right that people should be locked up for breaking these laws because you cannot use free speech as an excuse to bully or abuse people because of their religion or race or sexuality or gender

It is only fair these laws had to be created because there was so much widespread racism and homophobia within society and there still is believe me

I was raised as catholic and catholics are always subject to abuse all the time even though the law covers anti catholic hatred too

But there has to be a line drawn I think on what free speech is and what hatred actually is the law isn`t very clear on that topic

Here we go  - he has been accused of homophobia, sexism, now racism - with no real evidence whatsoever! You are guilty of religionism!

You lot are the mad ones! :joker:

They are offensive to true Christians...

I doubt you give two hoots about Christians - you just don't understand or approve of his way of celebrating his beliefs. Narrowminded or what!

Black supremacy is racist - racial hatred.

YOU NEED HELP!!:nono:

You know nothing of what I think of true Christians!! :nono:

No I do not approve of a cult where they basically roll about high on drugs...

Shall I start my own religion where I **** & smear it in peoples faces?? Would that be ok because I was "celebrating my beliefs" ?

Are you a member of his cult by any chance??

oddballmisfitsFTW 10-07-2010 04:22 PM

Quaver is the one inciting hatred

Dave is spreading Jesus juice

I am a non-believer - no doubt you assumed otherwise! :nono: I don't approve of 'cults' either - just see no evidence that this is what Dave is about! A lot of assumptions have been made about Dave and his group - possibly unfairly, but I take as I find, and, so far, I like him!

I never said anything about racism or he was homophobic, I just think he is a sneak that hides behind religion, I find him strange and odd.

You cannot compare black people to gays, witches or demons.

You cannot compare gays to Witches or demons...etc either.

It is obvious that he sees these groups as the same, and the way he partonisingly deals with it is with Jesus' love, it is almost as if he looks at blacks as a sin, hates the sins, but loves the sinner.

IMO do not compare anyone to witches, demons and warlocks, it is out of order and warped.

BitterFruit 10-07-2010 04:32 PM

I think that is giving way too much significance...........

Bigbrofan25 10-07-2010 04:38 PM

This is a very interesting topic actually for once

Jamietwo 10-07-2010 04:41 PM

religions are full of hate inducing rubbish, but they were invented before political correctness and post 9/11 speech control.

You implied racism when you said he had nominated every black person in the house! Similar for you comments about him claiming he was not homophobic!

I don't find him in the least bit sneaky - quite the opposite - he seems very open about most things, including his religion!

I personally think he has rarely comes across black people in his life, and when he does, I think he needs to show them Jesus' love, as he says so himself.

he said it himself when he nominated Covan, he has no problem with blacks, gays, witches, demons or warlocks....stand up for the creep all you like, I just think he is a strange, sneaky, creep who is not all there.

I am looking forward to his next set of nominations, obviously Camiomhe would be there, but his next set would be interesting.

Well part of it is down to the fact he mentioned homosexuals. This of course is why he was placed in a house with Corin, Shabby, Mario, Govan and others who have declared a passing dabble.

Ife is the one who kept stirring because she knew Dave would be disliked for his views on homosexuality. I had one post pulled because I explained that the law said same sex could have a civil partnership to bring equality to people. This is not described as a marriage. And the question should not be raised about whether it can take place in a church or not.
Can you play tennis on a golf course. No.
Trying to see if I can state the law with out getting wiped.

Dave goes over the top and he does talk a lot of rubbish.
By far the worst was pleading with Steve's stumps to grow. Steve just turned his back and walked away but the younger housemates would have pounced on him if they had heard that. Ridiculous man.
Most of what he says has nothing to do with religion.

Its about interpretation, the law is about interpretation. If i say in a shouting manner that i hate such n such, but afterwards saying i don't mean it in a nasty way, it will be defined as incitement.

The law makers decide the definition of it, thus, they can arrest who they like, they can effectively ban speech they don't feel benefits them.

Define racism and homophobia. And why didn't you refer to hetrophobia aswell?

cazzy555 10-07-2010 09:24 PM

I don't really have a problem with Dave but I do think he's just replaced his old addiction of drink and drugs with a new addiction of god, and like most people with an addiction he tends to hang around with people with similar addictions and when he meets people that don't think the same then he tries to justify by saying how great it is.

he needs his god like a junky needs a fix so when someone tries to make him explain it or questions it he gets angry and refuses to discuss it.

just my thoughts anyway.

So in that case all religious people incite religious hatred ... and if that's the case what's the point in singling out this particular case. Caoimhe says religious is bull****. Is she inciting hatred? Again ... it's free speech. Until he actually advocates hateful acts against other type of people or says specifically negative things about other religions or beliefs .. he's not insciting hatred.
He's saying that in his opinion, his religion is the best. FREE SPEECH

Dave stated his position on gays because he was asked, ad nausium. Some people are like a dog with a bone and just want to drag him into an argument. He is a religious man obviously, and some people are going to disagree with him. I don't actually agree with him myself, and the "healing" thing was squirmingly embarrassing, but asking the question "is he breaking the law" is stretching things a bit far considering the low-lifes who are wandering around free in the country.

Good point on the gay marriage thing though. People show their stupidity by continuing to ask the question.
