I like her but it is unfair that she is favoured so much by the producers.

Before the 2009 live shows the general concensus was that the over 25s and the girls were the strongest categories

Thats bollocks and very easy to claim AFTER THE FACT.

Alexandra was not a huge contender until the latter part of the series. Joe was not mentioned much for first few weeks either. You can underplay her role all you like but 2 wins on the trot clearly shows that she is doing something right.

Last year she only had Joe who was decent. The other two were stinkers. So how was that the best category?

Cheryl has been a huge success on Xfactor....for whatever reasons. She just has been. So these sudden claims that she's suddenly a crap judge are just ludicrous.

Just bitterness from those pissed that she didnt pick their faves. Well tough titties!

Surely thats a contradiction? If she picked 2 stinkers that makes her judging crap!

Jords 03-10-2010 10:39 PM

She should have put the black geezer through, cant remember his name.

Diana and Laura were though. Alexandra went onto win because Diana and Laura left and she gave good performances...that's not down to Cheryl, is it? That's down to Alexandra and the public.

When I refer to 'category', I mean her entire top 6/8 at Judge's Houses. The Boys were definitely the strongest last year, even if she didn't pick the right 3 for the Live Shows. Daniel Fox, Ethan, Duane, Lloyd, Joe, Rikki - strong category. Only Simon's Over's could potentially have been a better category...so maybe I go back on that claim. But she definitely has the best again this year.

Not really...I actually think Cheryl is the only judge to have picked the right three this year.

Jords 03-10-2010 10:41 PM

Ethan and Duane! Cant believe she didnt pick them.

Stephanie 03-10-2010 10:44 PM

duane was epic.

she's chosen to take risks by going with creativity over technical ability it seems to me. I think thats fair enough as it is called the Xfactor after all.

Stephanie 03-10-2010 10:48 PM

i thought she was right picking rebecca and i like katie, but turning down both gamu and treyc was madness. one of them should have at least been picked.

Angus 03-10-2010 10:55 PM

The irony is that if CC had auditioned for the x factor she would have got absolutely nowhere seeing as she doesn't have IT. She has average talent and is really in no position to judge the talent of others, especially someone like Gamu whose talent is superior to CC in every way. Methinks CC is a jealous cow.

This guy is spot on again, she doesnt just have to have an opinion she has to judge what they do firstly from the auditions, then at boot camp and then under the main spotlight at the judges houses, her opinion should then be formed from recognising who firstly she likes and then how they perform and how well they deliver from the songs they are given to sing at the judges house.

She failed on all counts because she put through 2 acts who couldn't, wouldn't and didn't sing and perform the songs they were given, while casting aside those who had sang and performed.

An opinion has to be formed professionally from all those aspects,Cheryl neither had opinion or ability, the fact is she put through 2 acts who did nothing at all at her house, just as jedward fever says.
Had Cheryl done that in her talent contest. she would never have got to be in Girls Aloud.

If she has indeed used only a personal opinion to decide then she has been grossly unprofessional and really someone else should be doing the job instead of her.

Shes the one that the tabloids have been interested in since the band started (even before X Factor) so she must have done something right

Well slugging people in nightclubs is guaranteed some media attention, and then marrying a premier league footballer is always good for some publicity (ask that other talentless judge on American Idol, Mrs Beckham!).

You're assuming that she is looking for the finished product already. Cheryl is clearly a judge who goes with her emotional connections. If she see's potential then thats what interests her. All her 3 choices have flaws and are not the finished product. But I think she feels that with her team of experts they will grow into the full package as the weeks progress and grow in confidence. I think she wants to nurture potential.

I also think she chose the 3 who want it the most. Cher is temperamental but artists often are because they get frustrated when their vision doesnt come out as they hoped. Her tonsilitis was hindering her like an injured hand would hinder a painter...as a comparison.

Anybody would think that certain females and gay men were just flat out jealous of their stunning looks and ability to attract any guy. Thereby undermining their power.

So which one are you, haters?

i dont really care about this gamu person i'm just enjoying the chavryl backlash while it lasts :D

joeysteele 04-10-2010 11:28 AM

Well. I dont fit into any of those categories either, like jedward fever,I don't see myself represented there at all. Having said that, I have no problem with geeks, gays, jealous females whatsoever. In fact many are are likely my friends.
I also think its too generalised to single out groups or types of people as being capable of envy, hate etc; Many really attractive girls I know, are crazy about Cheryl Cole, as are many who are not so attactive but who have great personalities.

I think Cheryl, has appeal and like every human being is not in any way perfect, she can be selfish too, and when that spills over into professional duty and judgement then she will attract and rightly, criticism for doing a bad job.

Its not all hate or even dislike, its that she has not done her job right, which has left dismay to the viewers who watched the programmes and who well know if they were told to do something to get a place in a competition and didn't even perform in any way then they would not get the place.

Imagine saying to an Athelete, run 500yards as near to some pre-set time for a place in the finals, then 2 of those athletes, started the course, or never started the course, would they get any places on offer, No of course not, and neither should Katie or Cher get any place over those who did do the course and some very well too.

For that injustice to the pthers who sang their hearts out, only one person can be blamed and that is Cheryl, she might as well have never had them come out to the judges house if she was going to pick 2 people who never sang, never completed the song and never tried again.
That is why she is being got at not out of hate by certain groups or types of people.

Angus 04-10-2010 12:59 PM

Well it doesn't surprise me that she's picked the three skankiest, least talented ones as they are the most like herself.

roddyj 04-10-2010 04:10 PM

Cheryl is doing fine, she will make Cher a major star.
It is only a show at the end of it all.

HANG ON A SEC! I'm with you with Katie and Cher.....but Rebecca? Ok she got upset when Cole told her she had no confidence. She thought she was going.
But the girl CAN sing. Cole would have ditched her too given half the chance, but knew she daren't. Give her a chance at least, mate!!

And I bet Mr. Cowell is rubbing his hands together with the press coverage and ratings push!!

Saph 05-10-2010 08:32 PM

Who cares? KILL THE BITCH!

Colbert-Bump 06-10-2010 01:21 AM

Can't believe Cheryl picked the 'wannabe' Katie over somebody as talented as Gamu but let's face it she's not a good judge of Character...see below.
