It's the one thing Big Brother's a revolution in moreso than any book or film. Just getting to know every little nuance about an ordinary person.

Re : Shyness : I used to be really like that. I think it's something a lot of people grow out of eventually to the point where now I am completely incapable of understanding it. People are by and large lovely. They are just like you and they won't bite if you talk to them. Communication and contact with other people is a great thing.

I think it's booze. Once shy people hit that age where they start drinking it really opens up a door because nobody is shy when they drink. It's impossible.

i know im not the age to drink but in the past i have massively, one of my downfalls really. i have long back story to my conditions and drink is what put me into part of my mess that got me addicted to bb. im not going to bore anyone with the details because i dont want to share my life story nor look as if im asking for sympathy but yea ive been down that road but didnt go about it the right way.

I don't like people touching me ...unless I want them to ;)

Also not great with first impressions, public speaking, karaoke and talking online. I'd rather be sat opposite someone (unless I dislike them)

No, I mean online lol. Like MSN, Facebook chat, occassionally on here. Some things can be taken out of context, misread and I feel I don't talk as fluently as I would if someone were right in front of me

Dogs I don't know

Walking over bridges, especially if there's water below

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 25-04-2011 09:23 PM

When you're in the tube sitting on the seat near the door and a group of hot guys, especially foreign walk in. Hot boys make me nervous.

Oh yes me too. It goes back to the fact that when I was young we had two dogs and one of them bit my sisters friend leg without any reason. It's like it was suddenly possesed. The friends flesh and blood came off like watermelon. Since then I don't trust dogs. Even little ones. I hate when there's a curb or a narrow path to walk through because some people just leave their dogs without a leech and they could be running towards me. scares me to death :bawling:

Large inanimate objects. I had/have recurring nightmares about zeppelins and I'm not really sure why. I must have seen footage of the Hindenberg when I was young or something, because I just associate them with explosions and (oddly) nuclear ones in particular. So when I noticed this massive white ball floating over the hill I practically cacked my pants, until I realised it was some massive hot air balloon.

The ocean, too. Even in silly scenarios, like computer games, I'd always switch them off if there was a glitch and Mario just fell into some vast expanse, or the ocean...it's just because it's so dark and home to so many freaky things. Oh and you can drown, that doesn't help.

oh, you reminded me of another one actually, big ships, especially ones with lots of metal and also, oil rigs make me nervous, I don't know why

oh, yeah, me too, and I hate people getting in my personal space, it makes me uncomfortable

Niall 25-04-2011 10:24 PM

Oh so many things. Heres a list:
-Dentists.
-Heights.
-Speaking in front of large groups of people.
-Bugs that can fly e.g bees, wasps.
-Roller coasters (when I'm in the queue for one).
-Standing in the middle of my bedroom with no lights on, I always think something is gonna jump out and grab me. :'(
-Talking to people on the phone.
-Shouting.

:(

Kerry 25-04-2011 10:26 PM

Having blood taken. Forgot that one. Fine with needles but not ones that suck :D

Oh and wasps

GypsyGoth 25-04-2011 10:28 PM

Driving, I don't think I could ever do it.

Also the thought of being abducted makes me anxious.

And crowds.

Stacey. 25-04-2011 10:29 PM

Massive crowds

I could never drive. I get too distracted. I'd not watch the road

patsylimerick 25-04-2011 10:32 PM

I'm a hypochondriac and an even worse hypochondriac by proxy. If anyone I love has any symptom at all of ill health I jump right to the worst possible scenario and can't pull my head back out of there. I literally feel like I'm going to vomit when members of my family get sick. It could be just a temperature or a headache or a bloody bruise. I lose so much sleep because of this and there's a large part of me that realises how beyond ridiculous and illogical and pointless it is but I can't help it. The internet has NOT helped. Way too much information.

LemonJam 25-04-2011 11:44 PM

When I tell someone something that they can use against me even if it's my girlfriend I get really anxious about it.

sooty 25-04-2011 11:48 PM

Being living alone, scare to become ill.

Z 25-04-2011 11:55 PM

Making phone calls is another one that makes me so nervous. When I worked in an office for the summer I used to have to go to the bathroom and calm down in a cubicle before going back to make a phone call, it seriously psyches me out, I have a fear of strangers and a fear of being made to look stupid - as it was just a summer job, I obviously didn't know the ins and outs of the company by any means so I was afraid largely of being asked a question I didn't know the answer to; I really hate having to bother other people with my own incompetence so would just rather avoid exposing myself to my weaknesses, even though I am perfectly aware that it's such a stupid thing to be afraid of. My fear of phone calls/strangers is so bad though, I can't even order a takeaway without panicking, I get other people to do it instead. I rarely answer our flat buzzer unless it's just me in the flat and there've been times I've just ignored it unless they've persistently buzzed it... I've only spoken to one of the people who live above us, once. Never met any of the other neighbours, avoid eye contact on the stairs. I don't answer my phone when I get a phone call unless it's from a family member, otherwise I let it ring out - if they leave a voice mail I'll usually call back. Like, I have a part time job but my employers are based in London so their only correspondence with me is via phone or email; I don't think I've ever answered a phone call from them straight away, it's so bad but it's just this ridiculous fear I have, that I don't know what they want so I don't want to find out. A fear of the unknown, I suppose.

I need therapy. LOL.

Public speaking. Phoning people, oh god I hate it. I wish everything could just be done online. I'm scared of getting old and having some illness that can't be cured and being miserable and decrepit. But for the most part I like to be optimistic.

Mr XcX 26-04-2011 01:16 AM

Being near people I find attractive.

Kerry 26-04-2011 01:18 AM

Formal events/functions. Ugh. Avoid

I agree with almost everything Niall said.

Things that can fly, definietly - Moths are my biggest phobia of all time.

LOL at the line one, it's true though. I always end up thinking 'Should I run out of the line or stay! WTF!' and then by the time I decide what to do it's my turn to get on :bored:

Talking on the phone is so cringey, especially when you have to say Hello to someone - when in real life you talk to them like sh*t.

OMG Your one about standing in your room with no lights reminds me of something else;
Like at night when I'm taking a piss or going to watch TV at like 3 in the morning, I always prepare myself for Ghost Face to bounce out from the door ways and shove a knife down my throat.

Patrick 26-04-2011 02:10 AM

OMG NO! THIS:

Spoiler:

Getting a sandwich in Subway.

Honestly, I dread having to do it every day.

They intimidate me so much, patronizing bastards.

'Cheese and Toasted? :bored:'
'Yes :bawling:'

Walking on a cold day. You always know there's ONE tiny piece of black ice waiting to deck you and it's always infront of someone

Haha!
Love that.

I love when people fall and they get up and look around in tears, realize someone is there and try and suddenly laugh it off as if they don't care.

It's alright for me though, I love Ice  So when I fall my 'LOL that was epic' reaction is genuine.

Love falls into snow. I laugh my head off. But ice falls - bloody ouch! Nevermind the fact your legs always seem to fly above your head

With sweat I mean.

Phoning my friend's home numbers. I'm a very social person but I can never bring myself together to say "hey, is ___________ there?"
I just fall apart. And I'm really confident.

Haha, that is awkward.

"Ohhhh, it's ______ on his mobile telephone".

Oh I totes agree with the ice thing, last march when we had that really cold snap, school got closed early and we all had to go home early, it was so slippy, there was literally 6 of us holding onto one another trying to get down the hill

I remember cars going down our road backwards, sideways, diagonally, any way but normal. Was funny watching but not so when I had to go out in it. Thankfully, not in a car which resembled dodgems

Doogle 26-04-2011 09:52 PM

Ugh, December 2008 I remember our car slid around in circles down our narrow country lane because of black ice.

I was a bit shaken but got into school okay, went to my class, everyone looked at me and I just started crying (I was 11) but it was okay because the teacher hugged me and she has big boobs. :D But she's a bitch now. :( :joker:
