2 Videos were posted on here last year;

1 was like a more horrible version of this - basically a USA Soldier threw a Dog off a huge cliff, it was too high to even see the dog when it landed.

And another has nothing to do with Dogs, it was basically in a British farm and a few farmers were torturing these cows, like they were hitting them with spades and hammers and sticking rakes into them and stuff and at one point actually directly punching the cow in the face, made me sick.

I don't even think that farm has been shut down, despite a petition.

It's a disgrace how many of these cases go un-noticed by the law even when they have over a thousand hits on YouTube and stuff.

I was more mortified by that girl throwing puppies into a river. That was just harrowing.

And to further elaborate on my previous point there is also something just stupidly hysterical about posting and posting and posting about how horrible and awful things like these are and how revolted they make you as a human being and then posting and posting and posting in those same posts about every damn detail of it like it's discussing a football match or something.

The internet is great and dragging out and beating down the memory of someone or something. The sheer morbidity of it is harrowing enough without having to get down and roll around in it like a pig in shit.

I won't even watch it.

I get your point though. Nothing quite discourages violence to animals like inciting violence on humans.

It's not even so much that hideously bad alignment of moral priorities that bothers me. It's these kids who are voicing their sickness as loud as they can yet seem in good health to continue to revel in the visceral draw of it. Even bringing up other videos of the same nature. I mean christ what's the next step, tape trading?

The internet's just amazing in it's ability to trivialize things. I don't want to expose myself to stuff like this. Especially when humans are involved. They have loved ones grieving when some polio is fucking cooped up in his wanking lair watching low quality videos of their demise with iTUNES shuffle on pause.

Maybe it's not in my nature to be able to comprehend stuff like this, I just don't get it. I watched the video earlier when it was still up; I think people who are cruel to animals are almost always the kind of people who are using it as a "step" between cruelty to animals and cruelty to other people - so many twisted murderers have been documented as being cruel to animals in their younger years before they started killing humans, so I agree with people who say that a person like that is clearly deranged and will only get worse over time. Generally though I agree with Stu, the only thing worse than a gruesome video like that are the comments people leave on it, like "I would ______ to that guy" - I don't think an eye for an eye is a great concept, so maybe that's why I don't agree with such comments, but it's almost a form of black humour how ironic some of those comments are. I feel very sorry for the dog in the video, it's pretty appalling that it survived the fall as well, god knows what happened to it after that - I'm not sure if it would be worse for the dog if they just left it there to suffer or if they killed it afterwards :(

I'm with Stu on this one. It's an awful thing to do and the person has issues but I do dislike how people use it as an opportunity to sate their bloodlust, wanting to murder somebody in a vicious fashion is really the way to show that you are better human being then them.

I do hope that they are caught and that the dog was able to recover although I'm guessing it wasn't.

I don't think (most) members actually want to go out and do harm, its one thing posting an angry rant on a forum, its another thing going out and killing someone, it's just a way some posters vent their anger, nothing more, I don't see the need for a fuss about it.

Dunno about anyone else but I was meaning hysterical YouTube comments personally, some of them are outrageously descriptive in what they'd want to do to the person who committed such an atrocity, I'm just sitting here thinking "..riiiight"
