Why do papers etc have to publish pictures like this? It's achieving nothing besides humiliating people!

They wouldn't just take pictures like this of a random person that no one knew? If there was a regular unknown person that doesn't have a perfect figure walking around in a bikini on a beach, would the papers take pictures and point out their bad points? That would be considered nasty and uncalled for! Just because she is a celebrity (that word used loosely...), it's ok?

It's pathetic that people can just sit back and judge someone like that when they've more than likely got plenty of flaws of their own. I guess if it makes people feel better about themselves, gives them a good laugh, and rakes in a bit more money for The Sun, then it's ok... how sad.

Part and parcel of being a celebrity. She was on Big Brother, she has her own reality television show, she's done a whole load of interviews with magazines on TV etc. She's put herself in the public eye, having pictures like this taken and being talked about are an inevitable consequence of that I'm afraid

I agree with MTVN, it's part and parcel as he says of being a celebrity.
As much as parts of the media love to glamourise celebrities, those same parts often also want to catch them unawares and near publicly humiliate them with really bad or dubious pictures.

I feel for Josie on this, she knew she was overweight in the BB house, she claimed she wanted to do a lot about it and was a little self conscious about it too,seeing these photo's will likely upset her.
Having said that nowhere is private for a celebrity now.

I'm pretty sure this is a staged photo-op. The agency that is credited with the pictures specialises in that.

What the purpose of doing something like this is, I have no idea. :s

probably setting up a whole story about losing weight. This is the before stage, obviously.

Then hopefully by christmas she'll look good enough to release a dvd.

Not only has she sold herself to the devil in terms of being a fair game celebrity but also.....nobody asked her to run around in public wearing a skimpy bikini. She obviously knew what to expect.

She has an incredibly attractive face - I absolutely agree.

I disagree that she needs to be skinny - losing a couple of stone and toning up to get her weight back to healthy normal levels, yes.

All i'm gonna say is that no-one is perfect and is it the norm in society these days that you get cruel remarks if you have a bit of weight on you because you're not matchstick thin. Some shallow people out there:(.

Some people may think she's fat but at the end of the day it's what the person themselves feel about themselves that matters and what would be our reaction if we were on the receiving end of remarks like that.

Do you want to point to my posts on TIBBs that show I have such a grudge a year on? I don't particularly 'love' or 'hate' any BB housemates. Would you look at that - this is a BB forum on a BB website; imagine that, and people talk about BB housemates, the good, the bad and the ugly. Josie's a nasty piece of work, a dreadful role model and the worst winner in the history of the series. And no, not bored at all, but thanks for your concern. Ben was my favourite BB11 hm, but a long way from being near the top of my all-time list. Caoimhe, only of interest really because she was at the receiving end of one of the most blatant examples of BB pack-mentality bullying I've ever seen. I find it all fascinating. Remember you once asked me (not too long ago) - why would I post on a BB forum if I didn't really care??? I dont' care enough for it to affect my life (ie; like wanting to desperately go on the show) - that doesn't negate my ability to have an opinion or a passing interest.

Oddly enough - this is a BB forum, I and others happen to be discussing an ex-housemate - who for months, claimed to be very consiencious of her body, and made it such a big (big being the operative word) issue about it all the time she was in the house...... .......and here she is, fatter than ever, being quite happy to pose in bikini -her body an absolute disgrace given her age - showing no signs at all of the overly self conscious woman she purported to be on the BB show.

Ever the liar, but hey, that's Josie!!
