As I say though: if it's allowed to veer off topic in favour of making it about Aaron, I'm quite as happy to discuss Aaron instead.

Like I said.. it's just putting things into context so as to draw comparisons and actually widen the focus of discussion, it would be stupid only to discuss Alex's gameplaying as though Jay was the only one affected by it. I'm sorry but it annoys me when people think that just because a housemates name isn't in the title of a thread he can't be discussed, and besides I'm using Aaron as a point of comparison to Jay.

Aaron said he felt that Alex was also playing a game in the house - he wasn't that much of an idiot to chuck away £500 on a gift for Alex, a woman he'd only known in a very false environment - he was smart enough to NOT do that. How then can you compare idiocy levels - unless of course, it's in Aaron's favour given what I've just said here.

Aaron clearly showed he was smarter - in the diary room, he voiced his thoughts that Alex was playing a game.

Aaron didn't fall into the 'buying friends' £500 gifts and then bitch about the person the gifts had been purchased for.

Aaron didn't fall into the same mistake of thinking that people in the house would be the same outside of the house - I recall him discussing this.

Aaron isn't on twitter slagging Alex off - Jay is, therefore if Aaron is affected by Alex's actions (gameplaying in the house), I'm not aware that he has intimated anything that could be compared to him also being 'affected' by her game playing.

How therefore can Aaron be used as a point of comparison, when there is nothing to compare with, to Jay?

There is of course every possibility that he may have 'seemed' disappointed in her possibly not splitting the money - but has he been on slagging her to bits on Twitter about her not being a nice person? I don't think so - but feel free if there's info to the contrary that I've not seen/read.

Alex has probably heard what Louise said about her - and is treating her the way Louise deserves to be treated imo. You don't buy someone £500 gifts, then go bitch about that person, then continually ram it down that person's throat, how much the gifts cost. That could possibly be part of the reason for Alex's behaviour toward Louise.

Haven't read every post, but Aaron did say on multiple occasions that he didn't completely believe Alex was being truly herself and there was something off about her, but he was happy to be ignorant to it and just enjoy the relationship they had.

He can't slag her off because he owes Jay 20K. He also has not been in a car with her for 10hrs.

I'm glad that someone else other than Suze and I recall Aaron saying this, he often commented that she wasn't as daft as she made out to be either.

Can only remember him saying it once, near the end of the series in the Diary Room. Even if he did think she was playing a game to some extent I still think he thought she was genuinely a really nice and loveable person, think Jay also said something in the Crypt about her being different

Yes, Jay said both she and Louise were 'coming over' as really boring.

I recall Aaron making mention one time he was in the garden about Alex, as well as in the diary room.

I only remember him saying it at the end as well. Heck, he put Alex in front of his girlfriend and risked his relationship on it.

He still said it though: so he wasn't as fooled as Jay was.

I think what's getting lost here is the part in bold. I knew she was fake in the house as did a lot of other people. Most didn't care. They knew she had another side to her from youtube videos and stuff. But I think the side Jay is seeing might even shock some of us. Not sharing the money was not a shock.

For someone that isn't bothered by money Jay seems to have a hell of a lot to say about everything regarding the money. I don't think any other housemate has gone on about it so bloody much. And if he shared his with Lou, why is he so bothered whether Alex has given money to Aaron when he clearly dislikes him?
