I accept that but we don't know if the child will be affected and it's not for us to judge

Yet Kerry Katona snorts the white stuff AND WINS the bloody thing. Hypocrisy gone mad.

The credibility of these so called awards is out the window when they nominate Victoria never-done-a-hard-days-work Beckham.

No worries Jack:D.

I do not agree with pregnant women smoking, although some still do it knowing the risks but it is obviously hard for them to stop.

bbfan1991 05-03-2012 08:53 PM

She is doing media interviews tomorrow and is represented by Max Clifford, so the silly girl is going to create more publicity and make things worse for herself.

Just seen her interview on this morning and feel bad for her. Why do people act like they care about the health of her baby from smoking yet feel it's okay to put massive stress on her by putting her face on the front of newspapers and slagging her off saying she's a bad mum. Surely that's just as bad as having a couple of cigs a day.

Some doctors recommend that pregnant women who smoke cut way down rather than quit completely as the the stress of trying to quit can be more harmful then a couple of cigarettes a day.

And don't let's forget Natasha "shagged-her-kids'-uncle-for-8 years" Giggs - the award is clearly completely meaningless if she's in the frame:idc:

So true Jordan, it's a bit hypocritical tbh

I have empathised with her, and found her badly wanting. That's my opinion you see, based on my own personal experience-go figure. And furthermore, if she wishes to be in the public eye, then she will have to learn to take the bad with the good - she's her own worse enemy. If you want to smoke yourself silly whilst pregnant do it in private, otherwise expect to be judged, commented on and criticised. C'est la vie.

As a non smoker, I wouldn't judge this harshly, as I don't know how hard it would be to give up, so I lean towards the opinion that to give up completely causing untold stress would do more harm than good. Stress in pregnancy is very bad, and a mother to be should be able to relax and enjoy her pregnancy as much as possibly, this being in the best interests of both child and mum, so I wouldn't criticise.
