I’ve had different scenes and I’ve dabbled in a lot of markets so I see the music world as very global and I’m always looking for new avenues and opportunities, so one chart or anything doesn’t necessarily [mean anything.]“

Let’s hope Interscope feel the same way.

Though Furtado is and will always remain a breath of fresh air as far as sound goes, her numbers this time around are too low to warrant an explanation like the one above.

For, while sales around 80 to 100k might be forgiven or overlooked by a label, pulling in 6,000 or so copies may leave some wondering if the album was worth releasing at all- considering the fact it was purchased by next to no one.

The way we see it, the LP’s numbers came as a result of A. her lengthy absence from the scene and B. material that didn’t quick stick in the way she needed it to.

Here’s hoping her next LP delivers a more cohesive sound, and strays away from cuts like ‘Hoops’ and serves more akin to ‘Say It Right’, ‘Manos El Aire’ and the ever moving ‘Powerless‘.

I do feel bad for her, shes one of the nice ones in the music industry. Hopefully her next album will do better

I want it to be 2006-7 again when Timbaland Nelly and Justin ruled the charts :bawling:

The album has now sold over 1m worldwide so I guess its not as bad as we thought :amazed:

apparently she has a new album coming out later this year called 'Broken'

but i do remember reading a few days ago that shes working on a new album

She spent 3 years trying to perfect this album and it flopped and now she's back in the recording studio all over again :(

Im still not sure why it did flop

Big Hoops, TSI, Something and High Life are all good songs

hopefully she gets back with timberland I want another Loose or nothing :idc:
