Does anyone prefer the BB off season now? I do as i've kind of lost quite a bit of BB enthusiasm and it is fun on here too with the games etc, but will still tune in to see if I can get it back...

MTVN 13-05-2012 12:51 PM

It's a bit of a weird situation on here really, how on a Big Brother forum a lot of the most active posters don't actually watch Big Brother lol, I still prefer on season though

Me...I thought I was a fan, and then some come on screwing about the doors or the decor in the bedroom and you think oooookkkkkkk :joker:

Josy 13-05-2012 12:52 PM

I prefer on season, it gets irritating sometimes but I still prefer it when the forum is buzzing with activity.

Just googled Big Brother forums, tried to sign up to DS, failed, so I tried this place instead. I remember Claymores was the first person I spoke to on here and he said I should stick around for off season so I did and gradually started coming on more and more

Claymores was also one of the people who told me to stick around both for 'on' season and 'off...... it's very ironic that one poster who managed to persuade several others to stay on Tibb..... has been banned for so long.

Bizarre in a way.

Josy 13-05-2012 12:55 PM

There was good reason for his ban though, but that is Claymores business and it shouldnt be discussed on the main forum.

bbfan1991 13-05-2012 12:57 PM

If a housemate came on this forum they would be sure to get a mostly better reception here than on DS whether you like them or not;)/

I was meaning more from the amusing side that he got more people to stick around ......I agree with you btw, I wasn't discussing it or rather, it was not meant as a point of discussion, .... I was merely mentioning it Josy, just as others have done elsewhere in the forum on other threads of late.

I apologise. I'm happy for you to delete my comment if you feel it is inappropriate.

I was actually complimenting one member who persuaded others, such as MTVN and myself to stick around... :spin:

Jords 13-05-2012 02:22 PM

Got banned from Channel 4's official BB site for spamming and then googled 'Big Brother sites' I think and found TiBB.

InOne 13-05-2012 02:41 PM

Dunno really, think I randomly googled BB forum and DS came up. Tried to join that and it wouldn't let me with my email, so looked a bit further down and there was TiBB. So joined there and just only stayed in the BB section when it was on cos it was so busy, didn't really think about the other forums. But then, as the common story goes, stayed around to troll for a bit, ended up getting to know and like people, and here I am.

Started to get excited for Big Brother 9 and was just googling for any news, just after I saw the new eye in the newspaper. I was after house pictures and stuff and google led me to a few threads on here which I enjoyed reading. I kept popping back every now and then, not really aware of the rest of the forums pages and then decided to join up in the September. I only popped in and out, got into an argument with "Supernoodles" and eventually forgot about the forum for a while before coming back late 2009 and stayed for CBB7. I'd say it's only within the last year to 18 months that I started visiting more frequently. It's very addictive, sometimes have to force myself to switch the computer off.

Pyramid* 13-05-2012 03:15 PM

I'm laughing at the ones who are admitting they trolled.........brave admission if nothing else!:joker:

Ramsay 13-05-2012 03:28 PM

Not really. It only matters if you're actively trolling now. I'm sure nobody cares that peopled used to troll.

I totally see your point - but what it does show is that people who were trolls got away with it , - no reason to see why trolls might still get away with it now .... you see what I mean!

kudos to you though.... survived and came out the other end.

How do you know they "got away with it" though? They could've been banned plenty of times around the period they were trolling. Or maybe it just wasn't deemed worth a long ban.

Hang on here: let's get this straight. You and at least one other person on this thread have admitted that you trolled when you came on here, yet are still here posting away.

That's how I know - because you and one other (Locke I think - without checking back on thread - sincere apols if it isn't) - have admitted trolling when you joined!

You appear to have changed and stopped trolling so I don't see why you have an issue with me mentioning that! :conf:

I used the term "trolled" loosely. Not the kind of trolling we see going on these days.

To chat about BB10, my friend had stopped watching it, and I had planned on not looking at it either but after seeing the launch I was hooked. So I looked for the C4 forums and they were gone, thankfully found this place through google. I might have checked DS first but they wanted me to pay to join there.

Once here, for a long while I wasn’t aware of the forum outside of the BB section, I usually hung out in the Live Updates Discussion Thread, and became friends with MissKittyFantastico & Kerry and a few others.

Towards the end of the BB I lurked a bit more in the likes of chat & games, and even tried posting once or twice.

Anyway around the finale of BB10 a few people were asking MissKitty to hang around, and she asked me to. I joined the Brotherhood for a short while after. The forum was full of stories of cliques not getting on, but I didn’t see much of that, the place just seemed almost as much fun as it was during BB.

I think it was around then that Ross started the Den, and a lot of the people who joined during the same BB I did, just seemed to gravitate towards it. I remember planning to leave after a year or so. However through the mixture of drama and fun chilledout nights, I found this place addictive. And over time it’s become less daunting.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 14-05-2012 12:52 AM

to bitch about bb the josie one, then after someone/something cast a smell on me and made me discover the secret door that led to the rest of the forum.....the curse has yet to be broken.

Nothing wrong with a troll as long as they're amusing :pipe:

Before BB8 started this guy I know... I won't say he's a friend... was rumoured to be in the series. So I googled him and this site came up first. There were a couple of bogus rumours about him that I refuted. I wasn't a big fan of the show but I watched it semi-regularly.

I stuck around because I found the other sections of the forum interesting.

Mystic Mock 14-05-2012 02:40 AM

I only used this as a test site to join at first as I didn't use the Internet before away from I.T lessons at School.

But now im addicted to the Forum.

mizzy25 14-05-2012 07:47 AM

someone called big sister whom i met on another forum told m about tibbs as i like bb i joined liked it and stuck around.

Because I got permabanned from DS for saying Rodrigo was a hypocrite :blush2:

Vicky. 14-05-2012 11:45 AM

I originally stuck around for off season just to see if I would still be a mod, because i was told at the time that it was only for BB...so i stayed fr a month, each day logging on expecting to be a member again...and it never happened.

Then I just...got caught up in all the offseason dramas and stayed forever

Interesting thread, this. I'd just been banned from Digital Spy (surprise, surprise) and I had a browse of forums, so came on here, really. Also, I do enjoy Big Brother, so that's definitely a factor. Started off trolling (which I don't even need to say - you all know), was messed up in the head, made up a stupid lie about a car crash (I actually cringe remembering the nonsense I was typing betwee June and August of last year), then came back.
