no, because i didn't claim it was a conspiracy, i said i just think the tabloids influenced the first trial, and i think xenophobia against Americans influenced the first trial. as Italy does not sequester jurys, the jury was free to read all of the tabloid trash during the entire trial.
It was a failure of the Italian justice system, but thankfully the Italian justice system has a much more legitimate appeals process. in fact the appeal was more professionally executed than the original trial. imo.
It's also important to remember that Italy has the exact opposite justice system to the US and UK, in that you are presumed guilty until proven innocent.
