Straw grasping..... again.

She was talking past tense obviously. But while she was describing him she was talking in the present tense (as in when she was there she couldn't communicate well with him due to the langauage barrier, which is a big regret of hers). We all do it especially when talking about something like this.

She's no longer in India, in case you hadn't noticed she's back in the UK and currently stuck in the BB house. So therefore she clearly meant past tense.

HTH

You're relative dies within a few days of you going into the Big Brother house where you spend 24/7 sitting around with nothing to do except talk to the other housemates and you never mention him until 7 weeks later in a conversation where not being able to speak to him in her foreign tongue is part of her biggest regret?

The experience of death is different for everyone. No one can judge anyone on how they react or deal with a death.

Yes I just said that.

MarcusLloydAK 26-07-2012 01:52 PM

Well I also reckon she meant when he was alive. TBH Chuff you're wrong about Deana leaving her old friends and starting to cling to the 'insiders'. You said you were always right.

Petershaw1984 26-07-2012 01:54 PM

Maybe she is a bit dim

Huh?

Scott was told about a death not longer after he entered the house but I still don't know who it was and they haven't shown any footage of him talking about it either.

So is he a selfish and mean person as well then or does it only count when it's Deana?

She mentioned him as she was specifically asked the question: "Do you have any regrets?" and that was what she mentioned. Had she been asked the question 24/48/72 or 2 weeks of entering the house she may have mentioned it then or may have said something completely different.

I can't believe people are actually bringing this up as such a bad thing!

I also thought she said he's 110 and still alive at first. Can anyone find a clip of it?

I didn't really take that much notice, I was transfixed by the bizarre arrangement of earrings hanging off the tops of her ears like christmas tree ornaments. Her ears were drooping at the top under the weight. Weird.

Does sound confusing, would need to see the clip to be sure :S

Gillian-73 26-07-2012 04:53 PM

I wasn't paying full attention at the time but from what i remember it did sound a bit strange, it was like she realised and quickly changed it.

JTM45 26-07-2012 04:53 PM

This obsession with all things anti-Deana is getting really, really boring now Chuff.

hijaxers 26-07-2012 04:56 PM

I thought she was talking about her GGG grandma when she said about being dead ??

Flamingjoe 26-07-2012 04:59 PM

All you do on TiBB is make threads about Deana, it's getting very tedious. :bored:

MTVN 26-07-2012 05:16 PM

Here is the video:

Go to 28:50, what Deana says is:

"I could have spoken to my Great Great Great Grandad who's still alive in India"

Luke S: "Great great great??"

"Yeah he's 110 years old and I can't speak to him properly, yeah he can still walk and everything"

Becky: "What does he look like?"

"He's just old man, no he passed away last month"

So it is a bit strange tbf because she was pretty clearly talking as though he were still alive

InOne 26-07-2012 05:19 PM

Thought that was how it went too
