Haha this thread will bring out all the Sara haters. I think both of them were wrong to some extent and Im a Sara fan. Sara shouldnt have gone on about her views when she seemed to be getting tangled up in the whole thing and Deana shouldnt have kept on and on at her. I know Deana was right bout not wanting an argument and stuff but when Sara said she didnt want to talk about it Deana should have just left it at that point. Sara is sweet but not the brightest tool in the box however I do genuinely feel that the girl cares about stuff and isnt putting on an act. Just my opinion

rionablue 02-08-2012 11:39 PM

By the way they have made up again and were frolicking in the pool with Luke A earlier. Sara is a little highly strung and doesnt think things through but she is just being herself

Oh dear, please justify this one chuff, i'm dying to hear your reason how there was any belitting whatsoever. Sara was talking bull**** and Deana wanted her to explain herself, she didn't.

I noticed it, it was genius I say genius! :) just playing

zardari 02-08-2012 11:49 PM

This is my first post here. Those who are saying that Sara was drunk and had no clue doesn't justify the whole scenario, that means anyone can get drunk in the house and start talking fish and chips , like come on, every since sara got to know public likes her (because of the friendship with D) she has been acting like a real S***.

I just cannot stand those people.

I will be happy if Adam, Luke A, or Deena wins.

I dont care about the rest, some of them might be good now, but I will never forget their evil behavior and their childish characteristics they showed through out the show.

Peace out.

Robertocarlo 02-08-2012 11:54 PM

I'm with Deana on this one because it was obvious Sara was just looking to make trouble and thought she'd managed to but only made herself look a prat. Even *******igh seemed to take Deana's side and as we know *******igh doesn't even know what the word "politics" means.

toronto_matt 02-08-2012 11:57 PM

why don't we ever see clips of these housemates over drinking? some of them are clearly border line alcoholics. why does bb keep it so hush hush? not one clip in the ENTIREEEE series so far has had anything to do with drinking to much.

if BB were upfront and more honest about the nightly events in the house maybe we could understand better why some of them act the way they act in all these over the top situations.

I was like WTF ahaha

Blackeye 03-08-2012 12:01 AM

Don't like Deana, don't like Sara. Not bothered about any of them frankly. Wish they would change the whole format or stick with talking about Noms so they can play it as the game it is. That would do away with the pretendy stuff. Miss the innocence of the first few years and the Rules of the original Big Brother.

slickster24 03-08-2012 01:09 AM

Na I like to see proper beef like victor in his BB.

Sara is just a moron

Sophiee 03-08-2012 01:10 AM

Sara is one of those people who likes to pretend to people that they are quite bright.

AshesonMars 03-08-2012 01:30 AM

Deana. I do like Sara, but I thought it was ridiculous that she bit off Deana's head for asking her a question. I think Deana was genuinely interested. She should have dropped it though as it only exasperated the situation further.

Jords 03-08-2012 01:37 AM

Deana

But the whole thing was annoying.

Deana 100%, if you are gonna have an opinion you need to be able to back it up.

I can't stand people like Sara that have an opinion, but the minute you question them about it, they fall apart and act as if you are attacking them. It's pathetic.

lostalex 03-08-2012 02:44 AM

The thing about it, i couldn't tell if Sara was just embarassed because she has very right wing views, and she didn't want to expose her views because she thought she'd be judged?? or did she just not know what she was talking about, and was embarrassed because she is not very well informed?

I'm not sure which is worse.

I almost got the impression that she has very right wing views and she just didn't want to be attacked for being right wing.

ozzyshaggah 03-08-2012 02:46 AM

unfortunately sara has gone to a gun fight armed only with a knife and we all now hows thats gonna end

She's probably a raging BNP supporter.

:joker:

Have to say I was surprised hearing a Scot saying they voted Conservative. I do find it quite amusing that it was only the other day she was crying over how she thinks the government aren't doing enough to get poor/homeless people off the streets yet then goes and admits she voted Tory...the irony...

glasstangerine 03-08-2012 03:36 AM

My ex had a similar "debate" style to Deana. If I started to get upset he would over explain himself, and sometimes repeat himself over and over because he thought if I just understood what he was REALLY saying then I wouldn't be upset anymore. I don't think she understood that Sara knew exactly what she was talking about, but didn't want to be called out on any controversial beliefs.

They are both flawed people, it's called being human. Sara doesn't realize that people can't read her mind and that someone shouldn't stop talking just because she's upset and Deana doesn't realize that Sara was upset because she didn't want to talk about something for fear of being revealed and it had nothing to do with understanding or misunderstanding.

I don't know why everyone thinks that Deana is so omnipotent and manipulative. It might be plain to most of us what was really going on with Sara but I think Deana is use to being able to reason with people. Especially if she grew up with parents who expected her to talk reasonably instead of whine, cry, freak out etc. while Sara grew up with a Mom who backs down instantly and completely refuses to do anything controversial as soon as she sees someone is upset ( see BOTS call about Scott. )
If you listen to Deana's conversations about difficult situations it is clear she was taught to be tough and strong and reasonable, not someone who stops thinking because something is heated.

I understand both sides but I am with Deana on this one. She didn't do anything wrong and Sara has no right to be upset with her, it's not Deana's job to keep Sara happy when she starts having a temper tantrum.

in short they both behaved like idiots , again

optimisticcynic 03-08-2012 07:10 AM

If I was trapped in a house for months with someone who repeatedly got on their podium, spouted hot air and had no depth to their conversation for hours at a time, I'd get annoyed too. And to top each monologue off with a wee drunken cry, each evening would be the final straw. Therein lies the difference between the outsiders and the insiders. The insiders lack the maturity or resilience to question, challenge and be questioned and challenged as a means of increasing understanding or effecting change, and thus fall into a lemming-like pack mentality, where the unquestioningly adopt the opinion of the nearest living organism. The outsiders constantly question and challenge each other and have become closer as a result, whilst being aware and accepting of each others' flaws.
Hence, Sara ran back to the insiders last night and had a wee bitch with Ashleigh.

Donovan. 03-08-2012 07:28 AM

Sara did the same with Caroline when she kept asking her to explain herself, so I don't really understand why she was so surprised that this could be done to her. Sure circumstances were a little different, but if somebody doesn't want to talk about something then you shouldn't keep picking at them.

Secondly,it may have been that Sara realised Deana likely could have a good knowledge of politics so that was the reason she didn't want to go into things too much because she knew she hadn't the in depth knowledge.

On Deana's side of course, she probably only wanted to try to understand why Sara had voted the way she had, what was the things that made her decide to vote Conservative.
If someone though says, they don't want to discuss too deeply a subject then others should respect that.

Good points, I think Deena was correct to ask her question because that's the whole point of a discussion. Sara should not have responded the way she did because it only left people with the impression that she had no clue. See Sara is very opinionated and she has been very hard over her beliefs about the queen and nobody in the house dared mention anti royal views because of the aggressiveness of her passion. This time she was challenged about a view and she totally broke down. I almost fell over when Ashleigh agreed with Deena, such a shame that a few others like Adam had not expressed their views, might have helped Sara think of an answer.

Niamh. 03-08-2012 09:43 AM

Deana. The thing I don't like about Sara is she likes to speak very loudly at people but doesn't like to hear anyone elses opinion or be asked any questions about her own opinion and when either of those things happen she gets all defensive and accuses the other person of trying to start an argument. Even Ashleigh who doesn't like Deana took Deanas side (eventhough she still bitched along with Sara after the fact)

Another thing I dislike about Sara is, she's accused Deana of not being loyal or sticking up for her but anytime herself and Deana have an argument, the first thing she does is run off to the people who dislike Deana and have a bitch about her, that's not what a "loyal" friend does. That's just plain nastiness.

HBB1508 03-08-2012 09:44 AM

Having now seen it, it pains me to side with Deana - she really didn't do anything wrong she was just asking a question and it seemed to me that Sara went off on one for no real reason. It's a free country we can vote for who we want to so I don't know why Sara was being so coy about it - she came across as very silly imo. I can't say that I particularly like either of them but Sara came off the worse in the debate I think.

optimisticcynic 03-08-2012 09:46 AM

It's never a discussion with Sarah where the three facets of her style of interaction are volume, repetition and tears.

Kizzy 03-08-2012 09:58 AM

Deana beyond a shadow of a doubt, she thought for a second ther might be the chance of an intelligent conversation....Bless her :)

GiRTh 03-08-2012 10:15 AM

Neither. Sara doesnt know whats she's talking about and Deana clearly tried to humiliate her. Both as bad as each other

joeysteele 03-08-2012 10:24 AM

I have talked about politics a lot to people who will talk about politics generally but not get into how they vote are want to delve too deeply into why they voted a certian way or hold the views they have.
At present, I find very few people who will even admit to voting Liberal Democrat for instance but still hold strong views on politics.
I personally wouldn't press them on that as much as Deana did with Sara, as I said she was likely just trying to understand why Sara had those views or came to get them but once Sara said she didn't want to go into that, Deana should have held back.

She should also know too that to get some logic from Sara is a pretty hard thing to achieve anyway.

While I understand your point, the problem I have with it, is that from what I can gather, Sara was the one who started talking about politics and telling everyone for an hour about how opinionated she is about them, but then she refuses to share what her opinions actually are? Why talk for that long on a subject that you're apparently opinionated about but then freak out when someone asks you to share those opinions? Surely if you didn't really want to share your opinions you wouldn't have brought up the topic in the first place :conf:

Sara seems to like talking but not having a discussion. A discussion involves more than one person.

Sara - don't take much to get her drunk ! drink or not she's always confused - she has not been able to string one sentence together since she arrived !! Best not to get into debates when you are as thick as she is !!

I think you have highlighted the problem exactly, Sara likes to say things but doesn't want then to be challenged as to them or maybe have to discuss a possible alternative view, sadly with politics there are a lot of people like that.

She did say for instance she saw good things in all the parties but Deana kept pressing to find out who she had voted for at the last election,to which Sara eventually stated Conservative, then Deana pressed further as to why she did.

I do know a lot of people who will happily discuss politics but never want to reveal who they voted for or why. As much as I would like to know how they did, if they weren't willing to volunteer that information,I have no right to press for them to say so,I should respect that is between them and the ballot box.

Munchkins 03-08-2012 11:00 AM

I'm loving the results of this poll:shocked:

MrWong 03-08-2012 11:44 AM

Remember how the royal family / Queen chat went?

Sara ranting over everyone, no opposing views allowed.

This was very similar.
