Dont get me started !!!!!!:devil::devil: all my 4 children ,even thought they were born and raised in Yorkshire, and I speak pretty broad Yorkshire ,all talk nice, no accent, I used to pull them up from an early age if they spoke slang, or what i call lazy talk, its not hard to do, but chav parents speak like they are from the Bronx ,so what hope do the kids have?

rayheartbliss 21-08-2012 12:40 PM

its true.

fair enough if they are actually from the streets and are uneducated.

but you get the ones who have been in college even had degrees from uni and pretty much lived their childhood as middle class citizens, yet at some point out of nowhere starts talking like they lived in the ghetto. #cringe

Doesn't matter your ancestoral origins Londoners talk London.
As for the tone of his voice it's very manly when he isn't excited. I like.

Rubbish. Proper Londoners don't speak like gangsters!? It's an imported fad, fake and idiotic.

chuff me dizzy 21-08-2012 12:54 PM

If its a "London" thing ,why do kids in Yorkshire speak the same? I never heard Pete Beale call anyone "Dude" did you ?

rayheartbliss 21-08-2012 01:11 PM

i'm not old im 21

Livia 21-08-2012 01:36 PM

Harvey's voice is affected. I come from London, I know how proper Londoners speak, and that aint it. I know lots of kids who talk like that who's parents are proper Cockney, but the kids speak like little Jamaican gangsters because their friends do. I know black kids who speak like that who's parents speak with a proper east London accent, and more hilariously, I know white kids who speak like that who've never been twenty miles outside the capital.

armand.kay 21-08-2012 01:57 PM

I don't know why he annoys me he just does . :suspect:

armand.kay 21-08-2012 02:09 PM

Most the boys in my school speak like him and most are not even Jamaican there neater African, European or british! I'm probably the only Person that is completely baffles as to what they are saying. I would be minding my own business and one of them would approach me with greeting such as 'what you saying' or 'wag-wan' and I'm just like 'errm hi?'

Wildcat! 21-08-2012 02:10 PM

And by the way, these people go to school. Its the reason why the kids ick it up, even if they arent carribbean.

There are lots of such example in the world. Like I went to high school, in Tucson Arizona, near the US, mexican border. A lot of kids from that area, are influenced, and have a hint, of a mexican accent.

armand.kay 21-08-2012 02:13 PM

My welsh relative also speak like this :laugh3:.

I for one agree, look at how stupid the situation looks with his cap on backwards, that was son 1990's and he is 30 something years old!!!

Yes, it is a look like a Twat look.. But the youngins dont see it yet because they are young and to them is "Fashion" except when they see pictures of it a few years from now, they'll notice what Twats they look like.

Thats because they watch tv, or thEir friends consider it cool. We all went through that, and kids grow out of it, if its put on.

But I have no problems calling a spade, a spade.

BTW, you will find some interesting accent here!

Yes, 35 here! and thats why we sometimes see things clearer.. age gives you experience and perspective. I am sure most of you defending that Twat talk now, in a few years will be embarrassed at how foolish and unnecessary it is.

But I understand it, when I was in Highschool 8 ball jackets where in and you had to have Nikes or Reeboks, Levis and the latest Sony Discman, otherwise you were a loser LOL. Kids just want to fit and so I do understand why they are all following the idiotic trends.

When I see twats on street with jeans around their knees and grubby"Kalvin Kleins(FAKE MARKET COPIES,hence mis-spell) on show I feel like running up behind them and pulling them up, and the baseball caps ?:devil::devil::devil::devil: I want to flick them off their stupid heads

Good thing I don't live where Chuff does. Otherwise I would have someone pulling my jeans down and flicking my cap away if I stepped out my house.

Then again, If I did live there chances are my fashion sense would be very different. The magical effect where you live has on you eh?

stop judging him because he does not live up to your expectation. you are patronizing him and its unfair. we all have a right to talk how we want and how do you know how he talked when he was born or young? This "twat" talk is how he talks and how many people talk so can you stop judging him. whats your alternative? learn how to talk like you>

fair to say, but not over his voice. something I expect not to change. judge his personality, past, even his career.

I think he's just another talentless has-been, one-hit wonder z-lister!

He blew it with me when he labelled himself as "a real celebrity" over others in there. What a deluded saddo!
He's best known for cheating on Alisha Dixon. What a talented guy!
Harvey my ass! Whoop-de-do sh1t!!!

I saw an interesting documentary about how the english language is dying because of slang. They took several cros sections from the US and analyzed language. Sampled Chicanos from Cali, Arizona and new mexico and ebonic samples from the north , New York, Pennsylvania etc.

Basically, The mexicans have mixed english and spanish to form practically an entire new language and the ebonics from the hood has become so popular and trendsetting that you even hear hollywood using it and even white conservatives... which sounds pathetic in them, not belivable at all. I hate when non hood peole talk hood, just doesnt make sense.
