im going to scotland in july they have a big whippet racing event on where all us whippet racers meet up and race our dogs. its the whippet scottish derby, very big race prize money for the winner is about £500 i think which is sponsered by the local pub, where of course everybody goes for the 10 days we r there. people will be in tents and caravans.

I always used to go to Turkey. Marmaris twice, Oludeniz and Bodrum. Bodrum is one of the worst places I've been though.

We stayed at the Zante Maris when we got it cheap but couldn't afford to go back to that hotel now. Plus it's gone all inclusive.
I fell in love with the bar maid there but her husband was the manager. :(

Ammi, it is going to be a fantastic holiday. Just once in a life time thing.
I am downsizing my property. I should do it now while I am in good health.

I have so many places I wish to visit. I will let you know when everything is settled.:amazed:

King Gizzard 18-04-2013 06:11 PM

Vanessa 18-04-2013 06:12 PM

I want to go to Egypt to see the pyramids. :amazed:

Jesus. 18-04-2013 06:24 PM

..oh wow Sooty...so you're off travelling the world..?...I know you'll have an amazing time and I'm so thrilled for you..there are so many beautiful and fascinating places to see and at some point it's good to stop saying 'one day..' and make that day happen..you're about to have your day then Sooty...and I know it's going to be the most incredible day.......

sooty 18-04-2013 06:53 PM

I think it is a good idea that I will post a picture from a place where I am that time. Mystery destinations.

But now, England is getting warmer. I will enjoy beautiful English Spring and warm summer. I think the best time to go for holiday is winter in England to go anywhere warmer, hot weather.(that I like)

Ammi 18-04-2013 07:02 PM

..yeah, it can get too hot through the summer Sooty and going later will give you lots of time to plan for it and look forward to it...the thread is a great idea and it'll be lovely to see your pictures and know where you are..a kind of 'where in the world..' type thing..?...

Z 18-04-2013 07:07 PM

I had originally planned to go to Freiburg but I don't think I will now, just stay in the country and work lots and try and save what little extra I can.

Withano 18-04-2013 07:13 PM

Uganda next week, Cambodia in August and I'm half way through being convinced that a 'lads holiday' in Europe is a fantastic idea, but that's looking unlikely

Glenn. 18-04-2013 07:15 PM

As well as Florida, I'm going to Frankfurt and Bournemouth for stag weekends.

It is pity, I have a very good neighbour who would come to my place and feed my cat but the place I am moving very soon, I do not know anybody so I have to send him to a local cattery.:(

Ammi 18-04-2013 07:59 PM

..if you don't move too far away from where you are now, could your neighbour not still look after him Sooty..?..

February was my favourite month to go for a holiday abroad while it is cold in England.
But this time I can not wait till next February, so I tend to think this September/October? Because I must pop in to Japan as well, and summer time in Japan is so humid and unbearable so I wish to avoid in July/August.

Ammi 18-04-2013 09:15 PM

..do you have family in Japan, Sooty..?..

No, Ammi
I am going to be an Essex Girl
45minutes drive from where I live now.
(The reason was just because, properties were much cheaper than here. My Friends are worried about me, but I do not mind at all. Of course I will visit them as often as possible and vise versa.)

MTVN 18-04-2013 09:24 PM

Don't worry sooty, I can look after fat Charlie

..Essex isn't that far away from me Sooty...I know it is a big thing to do and I understand your friends worrying but I think you'll be fine because you're such a warm person and will settle in and meet people easily, wherever you are...

Yes, brother, sisters, niece and nephews.

I go to Sendai where my family live. But in order to go to Sendai, I have to pass Fukushima where the tsunami was and I am worried about radiation. My family said nothing to worry about but I am not really 100% sure. wind, rainwater..
