Frankly, I NEVER got the Davina hate I have seen here and elsewhere. If you've ever seen Australian BB with Gretel(who did the first seven years), she was a complete ****** and actually had a full on argument on stage with Michael - one of THE BEST HMs ever.

For all the Davina haters here, I'd THOROUGHLY recommend watching this and then tell me Davina is worse!

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and was astounded. Does she not understand that she's the host and needs to simmer the ****** down and let the interviewee talk for once? She has a face liked a slapped ****** throughout that, so patronising and unprofessional

So you can imagine when I saw my first episode of the Charlie year and I saw Davina and thought, "AAAAWWWWWWW she is SO LOVELY!!!!!!!!"

I fell in love with her that night!

I miss Davina!!!

And there are other examples when Gretel would treat the housemates like her children and herd them around tell them off, speaking to them like a martinet mother.

Even more creepily was she actually started a relationship with evicted housemate Saxon(who was about 19, while she was in her thirties!). He moved in with her and they were together for a while.

Talk about UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

Another thing I hated about our old shows was Gretel would actually shout at the crowds to be quite - I LOVE the freedom in the Pommy show where the crowds can ACTUALLY voice their opinions/hatred/love for HMs and show how they feel. When we first saw that we were like, "OH MY GOD THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!", after YEARS of buttoned down Aussie audiences told to "BE QUIET!!!!!" by the screaming harpy hostess!!!
