The crazy thing what many of you probably already no but took me by surprise is when he was talking to sam about his career and says i had to go into it because i had a SON, i mean what a career to go into, most people when having to get a job because of a child would be a dead end job, crazy and yet he has a boyfriend, and the fact he didn't like his job and yet made detective lol

dan for me will not win the show but for me as a viewer he is interesting to watch not dullard sophie and sam they are nice people but boring dan does go on a bit but I whould rather watch him then them

Sophie is a dental nurse but she don't like work and her family are aren't bad with money so she can just go home not much

Callum is just a kids football coach so he can just put that on hold.

Charlie probably still lives with her mum.

Sam prob still lives at home

Just another example of Dan thinking he's three times more important than anybody else. Callum may be cracked but he's also vulnerable, so slagging him to everyone is hardly kind hearted is it? If he stays in, I can picture Dan going up to Callum and telling him he's worthless and when Callum protests, Dan'll start screaming at him for not understanding that he's never wrong. He treats people like they're not human.

I love Dan for saying it AS IT IS! Callum is a pretentious, self-important person and Dan can see it. Let me remind Dan haters that Callum actually boasted about saving 28 people's lives as a life guard. Callum Loves himself and shouldn't have boasted in this way. The emergency services/nurses/doctors/others are saving lives everyday and don't self-publicise.

Yes, who next for a character assassination to their own face? Can you picture somebody talking to another person like that in the real world? Dan is not all bad and I certainly don't hate him but he is so dismissive of other people, it's ridiculous.

I wish that some of the posters who dislike him being criticized would balance their arguments with examples of his good qualities, rather than protest that he's 'entertaining', which is purely subjective.
