Up to very recently Hazel seemed to be in denial that her unpopularity was anything to do with Dazelgate. She seemed to be blaming it on Gina.

So a reality check is in order.

However... Emma, AJ and Rylan are not up to the job. They only do light and fluffy. I'll be interested to see how Hazel is questioned by Iain Lee and the psychologists tonight.... although I'm not getting my hopes up!

south12345 10-08-2013 11:26 AM

I wouldnt say she owned the British public but she was right in saying it was the viewers that wanted her in the SH, knowing full well the situation with Daley and his g/f....and the reason they wanted them both in there was to simply see their Showmance progress into something a bit more titillating....but oh how people were quick to turn on her and Daley when things got out of hand. BB for one, and it was them that instigated the whole scenario...No BB are not responsible for their actions but why pour fuel onto a smoking fire.....because they know controversy brings in viewers....

If people are just gonna deny Hazel got owned by Emma and the crowd, then there is no point talking about it as fantasy/reality are two different things

ding dong the witch is dead and I for one am gonna love the next week!!!!!

Did it never occur to her that the public wanted to see how far both those morally bankrupt pieces of crap (her and Daley) would take it left to their own devices. If thats the best you've got for her 'owning the public' then yeah, wow she didn't...

All she did was blame everything on everyone else. And besides that its well known the public love watching car crashes (literally in some cases) what people find entertaining to watch and what they morally agree with are two entirely separate things. I love watching brutal horror films but I dont want to do things like that in real life.

The public voted them in there to see more car crash cringemaking TV, she delivered it in spades so well done to her, but lets not pretend she has any sort of moral highground over those who voted its actually a ridiculous suggestion.

"Well the public were the ones who voted us into the safehouse".

Spot on.

If the public thought she was such a home wrecking bitch then why would they then vote them into a house together?

Because they love to piss and moan and spew hatred on people, simple as that.

She made a very valid point. At the time this happened, I couldn't believe that people had actually voted those two into the safe house. And then the truth struck me. There are a hell of a lot of sad individuals who wanted to see a shag-fest (presumably teenage boys, lesbians and sad, lonely people). There are separate channels for that!

:( :( :(

Razor 10-08-2013 12:24 PM

I personally think Hazel didn't own anything. She came across as a person who didnt care who she hurt or trod on to get what she wanted.

GINA/SAM/DEXTER FOR FINAL

Why is that?

JTM45 10-08-2013 12:54 PM

She didn't 'own' me and she never did!:nono:
I certainly didn't vote her into the safehouse and i didn't ever believe that the public did either. BB put them in there, absolutely not even a shred of doubt about it!

Hazel did nothing in the house other than promote herself and act like a typical Nuts girl!!!
I find it laughable that she suddenly became the forum favourite for nothing more than having a few really childish slanging matches with Gina!

She did nothing of note in there and was never particularly entertaining unless you had the schoolboy mentality of Sam (....huh,huh....TITS....huh!).:bored:

For a start she wasn't even a nice person. She spent most of her time in the house sitting on her ass with a face like thunder moaning and bitching and calling everyone else in there losers and dickheads behind their backs and acting as if she was somehow 'superior'. Yeah, i suppose she was superior to Sally and the twins but that really doesn't push her very far up the scale of nobodies!

I'd still rather have seen the twins go last night but i'm certainly not gonna' miss Hazel. There's nothing to miss unless fake tits entertain you and they just don't do it for me.
She's probably happier out of there anyway. She'll be out on the town with Dan tonight no doubt, looking for some z-list celeb or footballer to rub herself all over while getting snapped by z-list paps for the daily rags.
She's probably already booked in for her Nuts photo shoot in the week. Probably was before she even went in there!:bored:

totally disagree with Daniel lewis, she got off lightly. they didn't even show any of the arguments between her and daley. her arguments with gina and Charlie was an embarrassment too. shes not a thoroughly bad person of course not. but they let her off the hook. it was very weak

agreed, it was predictable and really skanky

halfacrown 10-08-2013 01:27 PM

We always get this near the end of BB: a housemate gets voted out and their fans start producing topsy-turvy threads making out the failure was, in fact, a triumph.

Hazel was voted out last night to a chorus of boos and faced a scathing interview with Emma Willis in which it became clear that it was common knowledge in the house that Daley had a girlfriend in the outside world and that Hazel wasn't much bothered by what, to us, looked like a nasty assault by Daley.

The fact that Hazel didn't flee the interview in tears does not translate into her 'owning' anyone. I'm sure she'll get some work taking her top off, but in the week that the Irish Sun dropped topless models from its pages, you have to wonder why people present Hazel as some sort of icon of female strength.

she didn't even take ownership of her own behaviour....her pitiful non-explanation of the daley farce was just embarrassing....she tried to justify the unjustifiable instead of just holding her hands up and saying she behaved like a twat

I agree with you here. However, you also have to wonder why people (perhaps even Emma and the public) present her as a home-wrecking, maneating, *****. It's an interesting double standard and reeks of hypocrisy. She never hooked up with Daley, the most they did was flirt a little bit. Big ******ing deal. He's the one that's in a relationship, not Hazel. And yes, I know we heard multiple stories from him about that status of that relationship, but that's his business. Then the public, who obviously find this so offensive, vote them into the safehouse together. Makes sense (sarcasm). When Emma interviews Daley after, she's sympathetic. When she interviews Hazel, she keeps pressing her on the topic. It's all so odd.

Exactly, some people are copying Hazel by going into denial and pretending her stay in the house wasn't a disaster. What's the point in creating a fantasy and ignoring that fact that she made a disastrous choice in associating with Daley which defined her time on BB?

there is no double standard, daley was destroyed, hazel was rightly booted and booed every step of the way....the way she tried to justify stealing a man was just cowardly and deplorable

She should also be called out on "He told me he was single". Er, no he gave mixed messages which any decent female should have interpreted as 'stay away'.

On a side note, I wonder what people, especially Callum fans, think of his burgeoning friendship outside the house with Daley? Obviously Callum will by now have been able to review the controversy, including the safe house footage he did not see while he was in BB. He has presumably concluded that Daley is, notwithstanding what happened, a basically decent bloke.

No, she didn't flirt a little bit, they both flirted a lot and we were reminded last night that many of the housemates were aghast at the behaviour of both of them, and there were a lot of housemates still in at that point.

I loathe house romances, but I have no problem with what anyone gets up to, they can have sex on the lawn as far as I'm concerned, I'd just laugh. However, it's crazy to pretend that people are not very sensitive to anyone who ruins a relationship by playing away. A lot of people (several of the men) where having a go at Daley about it, let's not forget that. Hazel misjudged Daley and ignored the obvious relationship, because it didn't suit her agenda. Guess what? The public went off her in a flash. Do you think that she used her brains and judgement when she became involved with Daley?

jegmeister 10-08-2013 02:00 PM

What a complete and utter load of rubbish. The public kicked her out by a massive majority to huge boos and chants for her to get out. Only someone completely deluded and out of touch with reality would say anything other than that Hazel got a massive dose of reality last night. Unfortunately, she is too narcissistic to ever see the truth.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's obviously 'shady' on both of their parts and certainly not the moral thing to do, I don't doubt that at all.

However, I think it's getting blown way out of proportion with relation to Hazel, whereas Daley has had a pretty easy ride. It seems like she's taking the brunt of the hostility, and I'm not sure why. At the very least, I think we can agree that the signals coming from Daley regarding his relationship status were mixed, and he was the one who initiated the escalation with Hazel by writing on her hand that he liked her. I get that people are sensitive about it and the public don't like it, but then why vote them into the safe house? The public had every opportunity to put anybody else in there, but they didn't. They flirted a lot, sure. Is that really the worst thing in the world though? Hazel got pressed and pressed by Emma on it in her interview, yet with Daley Emma was sympathetic and essentially let him say his peace and move on. Meanwhile, this is a guy who puts his hands around a womans neck and makes aggressive threats leading to him being removed from the house. The blame that's being given out just feels so disproportionate to me...
