The absolute most you ever "see" in Geordie Shore is a bit of "cover twitching" or obvious bobbing up and down on nightvision cams like has been shown countless times on Big Brother. Plus, with Charlotte it's always been with just one other person (other GS cast member Gaz) who she clearly had strong feelings for. The last 2 series she's had a boyfriend off the show and hasn't done anything at all.

Almost all of the "sex scenes" (during which you see nothing) on GS now are Gaz and Scott and random girls they pull in clubs, Scott and Holly (the one who was on BOTS) or occasionally Sophie and her long term boyfriend. You basically see them clamber in bed, 3 seconds of covers fumbling, then it cuts to the following morning.

That could be countered though with good and consistent sex education in schools. At the moment you don't have to specialise in that area to teach it and schools choose whether or not to deliver it at all. Consequently, in the schools that do teach it, many of them are relying on non-specialists to deliver it. Games teachers, geography teachers etc.

Mind you my info on that is a few years out of date. Last time I had any involvement in education at that level, there was a new sex and relationships education curriculum being offered to schools, along with specialist training for the teachers who were going to deliver it. But it was an entirely voluntary scheme. One of the areas of our borough (the one I represented) was a very challenged place. One of the highest rates of teenage conceptions in the region, very high unemployment and NEETs rates and average lifespan around 10 years lower than a few miles down the road. All the indicators.

Of the secondary schools that served the area two were faith schools, one Catholic, one CofE. Neither of those would agree to taking on the sex education curriculum. All the studies seem to show that better sex education reduces teen conceptions, and combining it with it with relationship education reduces abuse and can lead to girls especially, feeling less pressured into sex before they're emotionally ready.

So frustrating.
