Do you have your own UV Lamp Annie?

I had one years ago when I was at college, it had hardly been used and I ended up selling it, wish I hadn't now :bored:

Wow that's really cheap, might look into getting another one

I think I sold mine for £100 about 6 or 7 years ago but it did have a lot of extras with it as well.

Wow...there were ones even cheaper too. It does the job so I'm happy with it.

i had a good splurge at body shop a few weeks ago got a couple of shower gels and another body lotion when the other ones i have run out

I was in Discount UK & B&M yesterday looking for a basin and picked up a couple of things from each, A nice little manicure set with a case from discount UK and also a massive pack of nail files and then just before I reached the checkout they had nail polish on a display and I picked up a blue denim effect one, haven't tried it yet.

B&M had a nice goldish nail polish for £1.50 so I took that and some nail polish remover from there.

Josy 12-03-2014 01:31 PM

Annie have you heard of or tried the ModelsOwn Hyper Gel nail polish?

http://www.modelsownit.com/products/...ollection.html

I'm wondering whether to try them or not.

...is gel nail polish anything like acrylics in that it makes your nails weak/brittle..?...I've been using foils on my toes for a while now and they give a great finish and look lovely, especially the mirrored effect ones...

It all depends on how it's removed I think Ammi but yeah they can end up in a bit of a mess due to the harshness of the removal process, that may differ depending on removes them though.

..I only tried acrylics once for a special occasion and then I bought a soak thing to remove them because I prefer to do stuff myself and I had to soak them for around 4 hours and still had problems getting them off...my nails were awful for around 2/3 months after that, so that completely put me off...

Ammi 12-03-2014 01:48 PM

..also the fact that I couldn't pick anything up or do anything when I had them...

I've gotta find a new foundation due to finding out that MAC tests on animals :( i'm gutted

Dominic 29-02-2016 08:05 PM

NOT Mac

Dollface 29-02-2016 08:07 PM

:worry:

Dominic 29-02-2016 08:08 PM

There are tons of cheap good ones, I personally don't wanna buy something like MAC bc you pay so much just because it says MAC on the packaging

Dollface 29-02-2016 08:08 PM

I switch between Estee Lauder Double Wear and MAC Studio Fix but both test on animals so i'm going to have to find something else that's as good but cruelty-free.

Dollface 29-02-2016 08:09 PM

I've tried some cheap ones but they come out crap on my skin

Dominic 29-02-2016 08:13 PM

I can't find if mine is tested on animals or not welp

Dominic 29-02-2016 08:17 PM

I found it and they dont :clap2:

Dollface 29-02-2016 08:20 PM

:omgno: what one do you use

Dominic 29-02-2016 08:55 PM

I think there are only six shades so idk :ohno: The foundation is very good for me tho.

T* 29-02-2016 09:01 PM

For covering up spots etc I use the bourjois foundation that has like fruit extract in it

Dollface 29-02-2016 09:02 PM

Oh I love the look of it! Vanille looks light enough for my skin. Will have to give it a try thanks  Is it deffo not tested on animals?

It says in the FAQ that its not tested on animals and I also found it in a list of brands that dont test on animals
