lol fanboy...he had a great five 5 years where his speed and elusiveness allied to power saw him smash everyone....and I saw almost every tyson fight. But he was exposed as too limited over time....so many times tyson failed to dig deep against the great fighters of his day and frankly lacked technique and heart. especially holyfield fights where he failed to go to the body and failed to adapt his gameplan at all and took the cowards way out by eating his ear..... shame he didnt fight lewis earlier in his career that would have been epic. The bit in bold is absolutely spot as an assessment of Tyson as a fighter. In the holyfield fight Tyson couldn't adapt his style and let the smaller Holyfield push him around the ring. Tyson just let his do it without any answer. Tyson kept loading up big single shots that Holyfield took and successfully countered dueto Tyson lack of defensive skills. Tyson is no GOAT. Never.

All valid points but also watch that fight and see Douglass break down Tysons style, hold him off with the jab, then observe Tyson fumbling around on the floor like a novice then putting his shield in the wrong way round. Douglas won that fight alot easier than people remember.

It is amazing that even after all this time Tyson still has this mystique even though losing very badly to both Douglas and Holyfield and the subsequent joke that his life has become.

I remember Iron mike. I remember he was the most devastating heavyweight anyone had ever seen. I remember that factors out of the ring did pay a huge part in his downfall but even with those his performance against Douglas was woeful. Fumbling on the floor trying to put his shield in then putting it in the wrong way round was Mike at his most pathetic. Douglas started the Tyson downfall and Holyfield made sure Tyson never rose again.
