There's apparently been a potential sighting Thursday morning..

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...-fife-25772465

Josy 17-01-2014 12:47 PM

Sighted alone.

Hundreds of people have turned up to help search for him which I think is a great thing to see at least there's still a small sense of community around these days.

Oh wow, people saw a 3 year old wondering around alone and they didn't go up and ask where his parents were?

Hmm yeah good point that actually.

The article doesn't say much about the sighting either just this

Police Scotland have said they believe there was a "potential sighting" of missing three-year-old Mikaeel Kular on Thursday morning.

Members of the public have reported seeing a young boy alone at about 08:30 in West Pilton Gardens, close to Mikaeel's home

I think it said that some of the witnesses were driving down the road when they saw a glimpse of a young boy, though if it is also ones on the street then i have no idea why they wouldnt ask him, why he was by himself.
I'm worried for this boy now, i really hope he is found, the mum must just feel absolutely sick, awful :(
If he has just wandered about, what has made him suddenly get up in the middle of the night and just go??

arista 17-01-2014 12:52 PM

3 is to young to be out alone

I think that report may not be him
as the kid had a hat on,
and Mikaeel does not like hats - his mother has said.

Josy 17-01-2014 06:52 PM

I hate to be the one to say it but something's not right here..

This little boy supposedly has not been to nursery since before Christmas because he was ill, he normally shares a room with his sister but not that night because he was ill yet he woke up in the night got dressed then left the flat, opening three pretty heavy doors by himself and no one heard a thing??

Has anyone even seen him lately before he went missing???

I'm really hoping he's found safe and well very soon, poor kid.

Yes something stinks, not sure this is accurate but picked it up from FB

This from Daily Mail article quote "A former neighbour claimed the children may have once been left alone at home when Miss Kular’s former husband was due to pick them up for the day.

Patricia Kilpatrick, 72, said: ‘He had come to take the kids on a Sunday but he couldn’t get them from inside the house.

‘She had gone out for the night and hadn’t come home so they were there in the house by themselves. Soon after that the police arrived to sort out everything.’

BigSister 17-01-2014 06:58 PM

No i agree with you josy something isnt quite right

Cherie 17-01-2014 07:06 PM

Sorry to say but there is something wrong with this whole story. He went out on his own at night, but put on a coat, smart 3 year old.

I came on here to say exactly this josy.. I saw the helicopters out looking again today and had a horrible feeling they were wasting their time... Something definitely not right!

Police investigating the disappearance of three-year-old Mikaeel Kular say he may have gone missing after a "criminal act".

The youngster has not been seen since his mother put him to bed on Wednesday night, prompting a major search in communities around his Edinburgh home.

Assistant Chief Constable Malcolm Graham, of Police Scotland, said there was now "grave concern" for the youngster, who he revealed has not attended nursery school since before Christmas

I was also wondering if this is something like what happened with shannon matthews like hide him for a while wait for a reward then let him out to be found. Or it could be hes already been murdered and are covering it up as an abduction/lost child

That's crossed my mind too tbh.. I hope I'm wrong and the little one turns up somewhere, but the longer he's missing, the more doubtful that is..

I really hope not

Lee. 17-01-2014 08:18 PM

Apparently the CCTV outside the flats was working.. Surely there must be something on that? I just don't understand.

BigSister 17-01-2014 08:23 PM

Oh no so do I arista I agree im just throwing theories out thats all.

Ninastar 17-01-2014 09:26 PM

they should talk to the people who work at the nursery... i have a small feeling that he wasn't at nursery for being 'ill'

we've seen cases like this and they never end too well

he had a few scars/scratches didn't he? All of this sounds too familiar. it's a strange case, but it sounds like his home life isn't exactly great.

perhaps i'm being judgmental, but i don't think everything is eye to eye and i wonder if his mother is being questioned.

lily. 18-01-2014 12:08 AM
