I am so looking forward to the day One Direction split up and he no longer has the money of Simon Cowell backing him to buy the silence of the media/people willing to sell stories on him; I bet there are dozens of people who would dish dirt on him, who will as soon as they can. Stuff like this is clearly engineered to reposition them away from teeny boppers so they're "growing up with their fans"

beatles sold millions of records world wide and changed the face of music infulncing many many bands to come. they also wrote their own music

Was just reading back over The Beatles time after your post Kazanne and what you say is spot on.

I have to say again, no matter who the celebrity is, for me the surprise would be if the vast majority of them actually hadn't taken any drugs.
The showbusiness/celebrity world is almost a law to itself and really this isn't even news,in my opinion.
