So USA -UK has made matters worse

Sorry arista, I missed it.

It's entirely possible that they have sleepers in the US. It's also entirely possible that the CIA know where most of them are.

i didn't support the Iraq war in 2003, but i definitely support these airstrikes. It is the right thing to do.

Kizzy 09-08-2014 09:44 AM

It's exactly the same people orchestrating now as there was then.

So America is now the World Police

did not kill many ISIS troops

Me too. Totally the right thing to do. The humanitarian part of the operation is saving countless lives. If people can't see the need for this op then they've really not acquainted themselves with the problem.

Why are you asking me? I thought you read lots of things?

Islamic Jihad blames Israel, together with a handful of poster on here it seems. Are we going to turn every thread into an anti-Israeli thread?

Last post to you on this before it turns into another argument. I come here to have fun, not to be followed around and prodded.

Kizzy 09-08-2014 12:13 PM

I only commented due to alex and his 2003 comparison to recent flare up, it was nothing against Israel or you.

We spent how many of millions of dollars training the Iraqi military to defend their own country against these terrorist groups? and they all turned out to be cowards. if the Iraqi men are so cowardly to not even be able to protect their own land, then obviously America must step up. America is obviously invested in this situation, and we owe it to the women and children to defend them if the Iraqi men will not do it themselves. yes, Team America and all that ****, we shouldn't have to be Team America though, i'm really disappointed in the Iraqi men. shame on them. COWARDLY IRAQI MEN.

WE want them to have a free and safe country. That's what we want. and considering how much we've already damaged that country, we owe it to them.

Drones used today

Sadam was just as brutal and evil as the ISIS are. it's okay to hate both. it's not one or the other dude. It's not hypocritical to hate both.

IS stands for the Islamic State which they seem to have taken to calling themselves more recently in Iraq: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...e-9571374.html

yea, and it used to be Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. and they are cross borders. Why is the press trying to deny that this is a cross border problem, both Iraq and Syria. are we meant to forget about Syria??

I'm glad that the US is finally starting to wake up to the problem in Iraq, but it's not okay to forget about what's happening in Syria, we hate Assad so it's okay to support ISIS in Syria, but we are against them in Iraq? It's the same terrorist group.

I agree, that's the whole problem. If Isis can be headed off in Iraq than great but then they will just focus more attention elsewhere, mainly to Syria and like you say we can't start attacking them there because then we'd essentially be defending Assad. I don't think the West has a clue what to do now about Syria tbh, they might quietly be hoping that Assad's forces can actually defeat the Islamists there.

arista 11-08-2014 06:54 PM

I agree with your assessment completely. the west is damned if they do and damned if they don't.

but there are innocent people trapped on a mountain, and i am proud for my tax dollars to help save as many of them as possible. I think it is a noble mission. It's about time we started making things right.
