I wouldn't worry Chuff...Chris is going to win anyway....and the reason that Pav chose Chris is simply "GamePlaying"!...He knows how popular Chris is on the outside, and has reasoned that he'd better try and chip away at that popularity in order to stand a chance of getting the crown himself...Winston , Christopher and Mark will be in his sights too!
....It's the very reason that he got rid of Danielle yesterday...there would have been no point evicting one of the weaker competitors such as Steven or Ashleigh would there!

Ashleigh is far from a weak competitor Lex, she will be a threat at the final, I just can't see some of the female voters voting for her to win though.

I thought Helen would've picked Ashleigh, for obvious reasons. And Pav would've had the knowledge that Chris is well liked by the public, so to pick him was suicide!

Christopher was good though pulling him up on his hesitation, made him look a twat!

BB might just orchestrate that.

And Steven will be up, but BB will do something to reverse that.

I personally don't see Christopher or Winston making the final, I don't know why but I think that the final will consist of this.

1st place - Chris
2nd place - Mark
3rd place - Ashleigh
4th place - Helen
5th place - Zoe (who will end up hated)

I heard no lies.Thing with Chris that if he wants to play 'the nice guy' he needs to fully embrace that role and not slag people off or he undermines his whole image.

In the real world, everyone has something to say about someone else, it's only human to have an opinion, people relate to him because he's real life and normal, I'm sick of this bull**** of I say it to your face, people like that have poor social skills, I'm speaking as a mother to teenagers, a sister to 3, and from a disfuntional family full of ****.

Gossip is rife everywhere you go, just take a look in the factories, the shops, schools, residential care homes and many other places where you find people.

Other people in the house have said far worse and all housemates have had their little gossip, Chris is one of a few in there that the public can relate to and I for one think he's brilliant!

..great post Ruby..'gossiping' is a release and something everyone does because we all need to release things at times and I would think no more so in that pressure cooker environment..sometimes in the DR and sometimes to another housemate etc but being spiteful and hurtful to people just because you have no awareness of their feelings is something entirely different and a very unpleasant characteristic with someone....people who do that, often hate when it's done to them though..:laugh:...

The motivation for keeping calm and avoiding Helen in drunk or 'hurt me' type coments is obvious, it is difficult enough living with Helen with out being a target of her 'you effing bas-tard' to everyone in the house.

So two faced, maybe, but most would be just to protect themselves from that grating irritating whale of a mouth of Helens.

I don't think it's about balls, but Helen is just a weak and aggressive person. She's like a dying animal fighting off anyone who comes near her. She won't listen to anyone, so there's no point being completely direct with her. No matter how big your balls are, it's a fruitless exercise. The only way to live with her is to just be cordial and tiptoe around her because anything will set her off.

I don't actually think many of the housemates are that two-faced; Danielle was one of the biggest ones. Everyone in the house mainly maintains a friendly and polite relationship with people they don't like or get on with and bitch/vent to BB or their close friends in the house. That does not make people two faced, it makes them human. These so-called 'tell it to your face' people are like Helen above, weak and aggressive. It's a territorial move to scare off others and is not honest or ballsy. In turn, Chris shows more strength in keeping himself restrained and trying to see past the negative aspects of these people and be friendly with all of them. Most of them are hypocritical, however, as they say that they're always direct and upfront and then go bitch behind people's backs and then get defensive when someone else bitches about them. Chris has never said he doesn't bitch, every time he has he goes 'now I'm joining in with the bitching'. He is genuinely a nice guy, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have bad things to say about people because he's human as well. We don't see many of other people's DR rants/opinions, likely due to the fact they're not as articulate or amusing as Chris's and/or because they're probably bitching to their friends about the same things already.

I know this isn't the Chris is two-faced thread, but I feel it's relevant here as well :P

I quite like Chris. I think he's not into confrontation because how on earth could you win with these people? Try to bring up something in conversation and they're (the majority) apt to rip his head off. I'd be very much like him...be civil and pleasant with everyone, stay away from drama, say what I really feel in the DR. Tho the DR isn't even a safe place anymore *sigh*
