If you become close with her, she will always have your back, in the strongest way possible - she isn't physically strong (obviously), but she is strong inside. Sure, she can get hurt easy, but this comes with her inner strength. Sure, she has burnt other housemates here and there, but she's actually the best f---ing person in the darn house!

This feeling slowly built over the course of this series and I slowly but surely realised that Helen is the truest housemate in there.

I can't express this enough and now, all these bad comments laid out against Helen on this forum and in the house and on BOTS and so on, I hate them!

Helen is actually, easily, the best housemate, by miles and miles and miles. I didn't use to think this.

The deepest, the truest, the most loving and the most soulful housemate.

Damn why does life have to be full of such idiots that can't look past the damn surface!

:dance::dance: I have to highly commend you Omelette for creating this thread. While I agree with about 80 per cent of what you say it is so refreshing to see a well thought out pro Helen post. I have warmed to her in the past few weeks and I couldn't stand her for weeks. She is now my second favourite after Christopher xxx

I can't 'warm' to anyone who would most likely sneer and call me bitch behind my back. People are really scraping the barrel in their attempts to find the good in this woman.

So I guess Ashleigh isn't your favourite either as she was quite the little motor mouth in the diary room in the latest episode

She was amazing in the diary room :flutter:

JoshBB 09-08-2014 09:39 PM

She shouldn't have to deal with all this ****. She's very loyal and caring to people when it matters.

i just don't see the need for all this hate on any hm, its going to make zero difference now its vote to win. Its incredibly tiresome

user104658 09-08-2014 10:18 PM

You'd be incredibly foolish to trust someone like Helen, to be honest. She'll be your best friend in the whole world... Until you question her, on anything, and then she'll turn like old milk.

She would also immediately and without remorse, throw pretty much anyone under a bus for self-preservation.

Imagine this scenario: half way through the series, if Helen had been offered the following scenario:

she has to give up her pass and there's a chance that she might then go... Or else one of her "friends" in there (let's say Steven, who she bawled about leaving) will be immediately evicted...

Do you think she would have given up that pass? I don't. Not for a second. It wouldn't even cross her mind as a possibility. She'd wave them off and then probably have a little chuckle about it in the diary room.

Her loyalty is completely self-serving... It's designed to get certain people on side, as expendable minions.

It makes me like her more,no one has put any point across that has made me change my mind, all it is ,is people spouting vile hate and bile,I am surprised they hate Helen so much as they seem to say lots worse things than her.

Kizzy 09-08-2014 10:29 PM

Fair point, it's a bit daft saying you dislike helen for saying nasty things, and then say lots of nasty things... :conf:

Haha, only know how it's spelt because of spell check in the past. :hehe:

Chihuahua's are lovely dogs, they're misunderstood too! People think they are stuck up little doll dogs, yet when you have one or a friend does, they are the craziest most fun dogs going. :joker:

Lot of truth in the OP

She has a good heart, is loyal and knows the ups and downs of life - which always gives people a deeper sense of sympathy for the plight of others.

Helen showed this when Chris gave his 'man up' task speech. His honesty about depression and his relationship upset, touched a real chord in Helen. She made a point of talking to him afterwards in a really genuine and adult way. No one else made such an effort with Chris after he bared himself like that.

That was the moment i started seeing the good in Helen. And although she can be well gobby (of course) - she can also be a good mate and understanding listener as well.

I like Ashleigh as well as Helen - but to be honest - Ashleigh has never reached out to Chris in the way Helen did that day.

I guess Helen has more life experience but Ashleigh is also quite cold compared to Helen. Helen gets angry but Ashleigh is more miserable overall. They are similar but different.

If i knew them both and i was in a crisis and wanted advice or support - i'd rather turn to Helen than to Ashleigh.

Achilles 10-08-2014 03:35 AM

Helen is nasty. She is loyal if you are nasty and part of her pack. She enjoys bullying people. She targets nice people who she hates, because they aren't nasty like she is. All the BS talk about her caring side is BS.
She dislikes Ashleigh, Chris and Christopher. Why does she dislike all 3 of them? Why does she like people like Ash, Mark and Steven? She likes nasty people. She loves it when people argue, she is sadistic. She started off hating Jale and started to like her once Jale started to be nasty. Same with Kimberly and now Pav. She admitted she enjoys being nasty. All the "nice" behaviour is FAKE. She wants to fool people into thinking she has changed and improve her chance of winning.

JTM45 10-08-2014 04:58 AM

She's old enough to know better than to act like she does!
She had a huge opportunity to turn people's opinions of her around but time and time again she's let her mouth and nasty, bitter attitude get the better of her.

People don't dislike Helen so much because of her past. They dislike what she is and how she behaves now and unless she changes that will always be the case sadly.

..I agree and the 'hate' is from different supporters of HMs as well..how funny as well that a lot of it is debating between two housemates as to 'being as bad as each other..?/type thing..'......

..I think there are so many negatives in general in this BB that can be discussed..negatives about personalities..?..that bringing any personal insulting comments into it all is completely unnecessary....

mizzmee 10-08-2014 12:19 PM

Hahhahhahahahha at the title of the post.
Helen is a bully
She is 27 years old and there is zero excuse for her to act as she does.

Has anyone looked underneath the surface for the others, have they understood why they reacted at Helen's negative vibes. Have they understood why a few were not acceptable in Helen's gang in the beginning.

It could possibly be that underneath they did not like the sexual banter, the arguing, the bitterness the need for understanding was not given to them, they were just outcastes. They were their own people with deep thoughts on how and how not to act. They would have preferred peace but, naturally a lot of the public and the powers that be did not want that so they fed the negativity in the house. They stirred it up good and proper knowing full well how each one would react.

Still as the lord and master Winston who thought he was the winner, told Helen "you are not going to win so why not be yourself" and sadly once again she listened and became herself.

Vanessa 10-08-2014 12:53 PM

I love her, but she won't win. She's far too controversial. But her reaching the final is good enough for me.

The best you could say about Helen, and quite ironically, is that for a ho at least she's kept her pants on..unlike the American trollope!
