but now time for an annoying Meowzie update...

So we are sure she's a stray right? We hear her getting raped every morning by other cats in the area. she's probably the feline bicycle of Harrogate, so we wanted to make sure she didnt have kittens. My grandad got 5 of his farm cats all neutered for free by the cats protection, and after so much searching (took days to find this out) we finally got her into the vets for free. Sorted this all out over a week ago. I've been dreading it the whole time because the last time we got pets neutered, we went in with two and came out with just one... a satanic one at that.

Anyway, take her to the vets where she meows non-stop, terrified. they tell me to call back at two, to make sure she's okay. I call at ten past 2, scared as hell because they haven't called me like they said they would. I call the vet and the receptionist answers and says 'hang on, I;ll let someone who was there in the operation explain' and my heart was like on edge. i thought i was going to have a heart attack.

Turns out, she's already been ****ing nuetered and that she's actually around 1 - 2!!! so she's not even a kitten. She's just small and a whiney little bitch.

But i love her already

I still think she's a stray. One that had an owner and has been abandoned. She was really skinny when she first came here. So hopefully, she is staying with us for good now...

She's lucky to have found you guys.

Then it's best maybe to not just follow the crowd? Poor cat should'nt be judged for what they did in 2009 when they've been nothing but nice to the neighbor always

Ninastar 01-10-2014 11:13 PM

im confused, do you actually think im judging her?

Jessica. 01-10-2014 11:38 PM

Why does she have a cone of shame if she had already been neutered? Did they open her up without checking for a scar? :umm2:

no she doesnt and I check her all the time, because she ALWAYS scratches

even the vets checked her, so god knows where she's from

Kizzy 02-10-2014 12:37 AM

Then I think she has an owner, my sis had a cat just like her... they are as a breed just smaller and quite fickle I think.

Ninastar 02-10-2014 01:07 AM

im not too sure...

I shared her on a group with 9,000 people on it a few weeks back, no one recognised her.

And she was very very skinny when she came to our house.

What I think has happened, is that she was owned by someone and they moved, leaving her behind.

I'll post in the group again once she's better

Jessica. 02-10-2014 01:17 AM

It happens a lot, people get cats and don't realise how much of a commitment they are, then when they have to move or something, they don't know how to approach it so the pet just gets left behind, I think it's safe to say she doesn't have a home, if you can look after her and give her the care she deserves there's no need to feel guilty about her previous owners.

There's also a system in my city where you can neuter stray cats for free and then release them again, my brother's girlfriend has done that, so maybe there was something like that in place when she was originally neutered? You can really tell when they have owners, also Kizzy, all strays don't have fleas, it's quite rare actually, we foster strays all the time and there hasn't been fleas in years. :)
