I greatly disliked Davina's flinty hardness, and the glee she exuded when people got booed. I much prefer Emma's warmth and the fact that she's kind to the evictees, yet can get points across without being aggressive or sharp. She's not so good as an interviewee though - when Rylan asks her opinion, she seems a bit flummoxed at times. I think Rylan is amazing - on-the-ball, witty, with a zany warmth and vibrancy, but I don't like when he's teamed with Ian - they seem over-excited, manic and horrible to watch - gabbling as if they're on speed.

BOTS should use more of the filmed footage from the house instead of all the pointless padding - that Jim Davidson slot was a waste of space. I'd have liked to have seen more about the daily tasks, especially the dance one. Ricci and Edele's jive looked amazing.

Luisa is more of a guest really, and was one of the better ones, but she was underused. She mostly only got a sentence in, and wasted it by peddling her catchphrase ''James is a dick'', rather than contributing anything fresh or entertaining. Few of the other guests were any better though - that drunken trainwreck who screamed in Stephanie's face was the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen on TV. BOTS seriously need to find some better quality contributors for the panel and enable them to have more of a discussion without someone constantly interrupting and firing unrelated questions at someone else.

The presenters are doing a good job, but maybe the production team need to review the format.

Gay presenters like Rylan and Brian seem to start off shaky, get better then all of a sudden they go overly camp, acquire delusions of grandeur and think they are special, ergo they become predictable and boring with monolog presenting and a kink that is no longer new or current. Rylan shot himself in the foot when he took the shergar look to the extreme and his quick fire camp screaming and false laughs have crowned him a Muppet and he needs to go.

Emma is an ok presenter but cant interview or hold control over her audience. She seems to have become opinionated but is miles better than AJ and Ian Lee. Matt wouldn't be funny enough and the tart with the tits needs to go back to baking and keep her opinions to herself.

The only hope for BOTS is to secure the services of a Lamb type presenter or maybe even a Mulhern type but alas, they only employ cheap wanabees and puppets that follow a strict regime of deceit and infuriating subterfuge.

Leave the dam program alone to follow a set format and get the idiots and gays that cant present out. Campness has its place but it doesent work when they are supposed to offer zero opinions and show control. It isn't a job for a gay person, its a job for someone that cant be pushed around and sadly Rylan is a stereotypical gay person that struggles.

What makes you say that? there are many gay guys out there who aren't camp, Rylan isn't a bad presenter because he's gay, Rylan's a bad presenter because he's just **** at it :laugh:

I wasn't attacking Gays, I was simply saying that when a program requires a modicum of control, gay presenters loose their warmth and appeal by having to show a hard side which does not fit with campness.

If Rylan is under pressure and the audience is going nuts, he dances round like a fairy on hot coals and plays the child. That's not what the program needs, it needs a stern hand and someone to get the show back on track.

For example, that idiot Paul on the audience has total control when he speaks and Rylan dare not walk past him if he wants to speak. Rylans gay/campness is not what the program needs, likewise Emma looses it sometimes as well.

^ That's making a big assumption that gay men are camp. Brian and Rylan are camp. But I'm sure you could one day have a gay presenter that is just as 'manly' as a straight presenter.

Campness and gayness has got nothing to do with it imo. The format of bots doesn't work, so the whole thing needs to be scrapped and re-thought. However, whichever route they go, they need someone with a modicum of talent and strict impartiality.

In fairness to rylan and emma, bots is a goat, and even if you put a tuxedo on a goat .........

I don't mind Emma and prefer her to the gurning Davina.

However Rylan is not as good as he thinks he is, whenever a discussion gets near the knuckle he always shuts it down, OK he has instructions from above but how many times does he then turn the conversation around to his looks, or his singing or his winning CBB. He has had his time when he was discussed, he has become tedious and worried about PC too much and spoils nearly every time I am enjoying the programme.

Is it his fault, Yes some of the time.

Iain Lee has lost his edginess too since he signed up to be a presenter.

Emma does the job just fine, the only worthy replacement of Davina.

If they did get rid of Emma, I'd like to see someone like Denise Van Outen, Kate Thornton or Cherry Healey get given a shot at it, or maybe even push the boat out and try and get Holly Willoughby to do it.

Rylan and Emma are both brilliant presenters. They are very real, warm, funny and both put people at their ease in a natural way without being fake.

The only person i'd like to see less of is Lauren Harries. All those mini films on BOTS with her making predictions and acting sexy - i just don't see the point.

if they are stuck for a presenter, Matt Johnson would be a good choice, hes good to look at, witty, pleasant. he could be rylans sidekick instead of that other idiot on BotP.

At least Rylan can be funny at times. Whereas Emma I find really irritating and false who comes out with really bad jokes. Jokes I find it hard to smile to let alone laugh. What happened to Brian Dowling? Not that he was much better.

When it comes to the "jokes" though, they're all scripted so I don't think it's necessarily the presenters fault with those.

Rylan is rubbish. Always has been. A big ego and a big mouth do not equal talent.
