You can still love the UK and not bring other countries down.

The amount of REACHING and desperate twisting to defend Perez, the undefendable, has reached a new low.

Perez SCREAMING that he doesn't give a **** about the British public and telling them to "**** off" gets a pass, yet a benign, under-the-breath comment from a collected Katie -- A COMMENT SHE IMMEDIATELY APOLOGISED FOR TO THE ONE PERSON WHO HEARD HER-- gets a thread opened to highlight her alleged bigotry?

Alexander calling Perez a ****** is completely different to Perez saying **** the British public.

If that's the case then Govan BB11, Grace BB7, and loads of other Housemates over the years should be classed as xenophobic/racist as well then for attacking the GBP, and all of us on here of course when a result hasn't gone our way.

Your posting style reminds me of someone.

I'm an American and hate Perez, love Hopkins.... How does that make sense? :)

sodak22 29-01-2015 05:10 AM

It makes sense because these people are only a micro part of each society with the biggest egos and personalities which is why they are paid for the drama. The Americans on the show are usually very OTT, much like I think the British people are too or pretend to be to get on either CBB or BB. These are not normal people in either society IMO. Just my 2 cents/pence :)

I knew who Perez was(only person this season) and he is actually worse than I thought he would be on the whole, which says a lot from an American perspective. I did not know who Katie H was and equated her to the American Ann Coulter based on what was said about her, but to me she turned out to have a much softer side... which Perez lacks even after 24/7 coverage and editing. But who knows, maybe Coulter would be the same way, the difference being Perez is what he is, an egomaniac on a grand scale.

Oversexed, overpaid and over here', was how the British described the Yanks during the war.
It's true that many brave American soldiers lost their lives fighting in the second world war, but if their cowardly politicians had entered the war sooner, maybe not as many would have died?
The thing that bugs me the most is how the Americans try to take credit for things they haven't done. A good example is Enigma, the code breaking machine.
Put it this way, as a rule I find there is good and bad in any country in the world, but if I thought all Americans were like Perez, I wouldn't go near the place.

We would have never entered the war if not for Pearl Harbor, but whose side did we take? We wanted to be Switzerland  I get the animosity because of the American Revolution, but can't we just let bygones be bygones? CBB and 200 year old politics, who would have thought? Come visit because I can guarantee you we are more like the common British person than Perez fking Hilton and the majority of US/British CBB participants... Respect  And thank you for thinking we aren't all Perez's, he is a definite outlier to our society...

The point I'm making is that you cannot defend Perez's offensive language
and simultaneously condemn everyone else's.

If people hate Americans so much then tell all the British to leave the U.S. especially Hollywood. It's amazing how the Brits pick and choose when to love or be part of Smerican society when it suits them. But then again if I lived in Britain in the miserable weather, I'd probably be bitter too and jealous of Americans.

Many years ago I worked on a cruise ship. We called at Fort Lauderdale and went ashore to eat in a 'real American diner'. It was great, until I realised I didn't have quite enough money for the bill. The owner, a fierce looking chap, said 'never mind' and poured me some more coffee. The people I met on my travels were, for the most part delightful, so that's why I try not to generalise.
I'm so sorry for America though, having to admit that Perez is one of theirs:laugh:

Perez and Katie Hopkins are both vile human beings. I might be different from a lot of people in here as a lot of the ' Perez slayers' are 'Hopkins fans' and vica versa. I despise both of them and what they stand for. Matt was totally right on BBOTS last night. If ANY of those two win it will be sad as they set a bad example for mankind.

The night all the housemates entered the house I took down their names and noted if I knew them or not and wrote a few words next to them. Katie Hopkins I knew and I just wrote the words 'vile vile woman'. Perez I noted that I knew him and wrote the words 'legend, delighted he is going in'. Now I know Perez has been more than controversial in the past but any time I have come across his column I have found it entertaining. I have never seen him overly bitch about anyone (which I believe he has done in some areas)

So there I was on the first night of the show gunning of Katie and waiting with bated breath to see how Perez would be in the house. NOW I still despise Katie and nothing she has done in the house would ever make me feel different but within a few days of Perez being in the house I saw him as a horrible little man, vain, self centred, bitchy, abusive and my heart sank. I don't want ANY of those two to win and I hope with all my heart the public who can vote will get one of them out tonight
