I actually think it was genuine. I really do believe she has built up this personae for so long as being controversial and outspoken and it's worked for her...she is so used to public backlash that she really cannot handle people being nice to her. It's been apparent throughout the show...when she was cheered...when she has been saved...when people have said nice things to her. She really doesn't know how to react to it....

Manipulative tears!

Wait till Michelle, Calum and Keith hear what KH has said about them they are going to be Hopping :hehe: mad. I think all three will feel betrayed and played.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at the after show!

What has she said about them that they don't already know?

I think this too, think she might be so used to being hated that its genuinely unfamiliar for her and something she's not used to handling

I'm more neutral. You're there accusing her of being fake. I don't need a reason for being neutral towards it, you're saying she's fake because you said so

Exactly...to show her being endearing, to show emotion is not what she signed up for.I almost think, she thinks, it's a weakness.

I think we get that already repeating it doesn't change anything.

You state it like it's a fake. "It was extremely fake". An opinion would be, "I think it's extremely fake"

Gosh the amount of times people state things in a factual manner and then claim they were only stating their opinion

I have no problem with people saying "I think Hopkins is fake". I think that she's genuine, but it's not stone cold fact if she is or not. Same for every other housemate.

Just caught up with tonight's show. Being in the bb house is a traumatic experience for anyone, no matter how strong/good/unpleasant they are, eventually it will takes its toll. For whatever reason, be it relief at Perez leaving or whatever, she showed a bit of emotion for a minute. I have no reason to believe it was not genuine.

joeysteele 06-02-2015 12:11 AM

I think she knows what she is doing in the house.
Fake or not, she will hate being reminded of them likely once out of the house.

I don't think she would need to do fake tears really, she has probably already exceeded where she thought she would get on CBB anyway.

Northern Monkey 06-02-2015 12:24 AM

Hmm.I'd probably in all honesty say they were real,4 weeks in there would most likely be a bit of a rollercoaster emotionally.Of course the synical side of me thinks it could be to portray some kind of 'journey' but i'm more inclined to think she just could'nt hold those tears back after living in that house for so long.

That was the 'grand finale' of the Hopkins redemption story..

jennyjuniper 06-02-2015 08:12 AM

Katy H's parents are from my generation and I think they have probably brought her up the same way I was brought up in the 1950's, which was typically British stiff upper lip. You didn't whine about the state your life was in, you just got on with it.
You didn't borrow money, if you wanted something you saved up for it.
People who were complete strangers didn't hug you and after a few minutes of knowing you declared that they loved you.
You kept your feelings to yourself and only cried in private.
You didn't flatter people unnecessarily and felt very uncomfortable if someone said nice things about you. A 'well done', was the most you could expect.
You took pride in doing a job well and didn't need to tell the whole world about it.

I realise in todays society, those values can seem restricted and emotionless, but when someone DID say something nice, you knew it was the real deal and not just mindless mouthing.
I don't know if this is the reason Katy H finds it so hard to accept compliments, but that's one explanation anyway.

jaxie 06-02-2015 08:14 AM

I thought what Judy James said on bots about the fans of different people was interesting and amusing. I can live with empathic. Hopkins fans are you submissive?! Calum fans are you romantic?

Katie Hopkins was born in the mid 70's....

And there's a flaw in your comments above, Katie H NEVER keeps her feelings to herself, she opens her mouth and is horrible to people and seems to take pleasure in making others feel bad.

tormented mind 06-02-2015 08:35 AM

obviously FAKE,

It was so cringe worthy, the way she puts on that childish voice makes me puke.

The whole act was her reaction to boos, faker than a tory's handshake.

Even if it wasn't fake then I'm afraid she doesn't have much going for her because I find her even more vile and dislikeable when she's putting on this nice persona.

Nope because she didn't convince me, she pulled a face like my son does when he wants something, wiped away a pretend tear, and sat in her PJs to make herself look vulnerable and soft :hehe:

Yeah but if she was that concerned about people liking her she could have just stopped posting disgusting comments designed to generate hateful reactions to her .........

She hasn't been able to find another way to make a living so consistently yet?
She desires media attention but doesn't have much else in the way of attributes to offer?

Will be interesting if she tries to get back into politics again on the back of this.

She's a bit of a joke though, I wouldn't want someone with her views and lack of compassion representing me but then i suppose it would be down to voters
