So who would you rather be the most popular? Someone who causes drama? What's wrong with a nice, down to earth guy being the most popular? I bet if he was beautiful or gay, none of you would be complaining.

And he's relatable because he's kind of geeky - he's not afraid to admit he's a virgin which is a big deal (and very brave of him to say), works a 'commoner' job and he's not exactly beautiful.

He's by no means my fave, but I don't understand why he's getting so much hate for being a genuine, nice person :/

He's getting hate because he's a bore. I'm glad he got picked for the twist but I'm annoyed he didn't take it and leave.

Hes open about his gambling problems and didn't look for any type of attention when he was telling people about it, plus he's pretty proud of his job, he was really open and proud about telling people he was the manager.

i actually think that most of the hate towards him is for other reasons... but I understand why you don't like him, lol

I don't see how he has any more to pity than the others in there. Should we pity Sarah for being a single mum, or Nick for his weird looking nose?

You can't say he has health problems without proof

I don't hate Jack, he's just so boring and uninteresting.

He's going to last the whole time and do basically nothing interesting, and end up with the prize.

The fact that he's fat helps, but Sam basically did the same thing and he's the worst winner ever.

it is not about the way he looks, i dislike him (as a housemate) because he seems extremely boring and no matter which way you look at it, he is getting sympathy votes

eileen seems as nice/if not nicer than jack, why didn't she win? and eileen is quirky too and has an interesting personality

Harriet and Jack can be the most normal people in the world, i would rather a normal person won it than some try hard

Harriet is one of my favourites, but unlike Jack she will probably actually do things in the house rather than sit around and make everybody laugh because he's fat.

Well so far shes shed tears and made everyone around her more miserable than they would originally be.

Cause he's the fat loveable Santa. The public always love his type.

Fat? That's such a silly thing to say. We're all fat, we all have fat on our bodies and it's a beautiful thing that should be embraced. It's because of posts like this that the word 'fat' starts to develop a negative connotation gearing society further and further into the 'slim and only slim mentality'. Not to mention the fact that I saw people say because he's 'ugly', like seriously? Big Brother is a personality contest and a psychological experiment. If you wanted to watch some beauty contest do so instead. Not to mention the fact that 'ugly' is such a ridiculous term -- who is anyone to call someone else ugly for their looks? Just is more of a representation of that person's personality than Jack's.

People will just see him as harmless and a likeable guy which we all know gets you a long way on BB.

Fat hasn't been used in a negative way mostly (by those of us who have expanded on our points to explain more). Most people have just observed that he's overweight. That's not bullying, spiteful, rude etc.. that's an observation, just like we say someone's skinny, someone's black, someone looks gay. It's not a negative term either, it's a description just like describing someone's skinny/gay/black/white.

It only becomes negative from the members on here who are not backing opinions up and just making sweeping comments.

I don't know where you've got that from, putting aside a couple of them like Cristian and Sarah who have had a bit of drama and maybe a few others Jack has been up there with some of the most screen time, considering we're only 4 days in we've seen quite a lot of him.
