I actually like Chloe. She seems sweet and down to earth, but i'm not sure if I'd be happy with her being the winner. She hasn't done enough, but then again, neither have the others.

Don't dislike her but I can't imagine her as a winner and she's definitely playing the game, not buying those tears either.

I think the issue isn't that she's normal but that there is nothing distinctive about her. Like she said, all the others have these talents (though why she singled out Danny in that when he's the most normal lad in there is beyond me). Even normal, everyday people have a distinctive talent or quirk. Some sing, some do amdram, some climb mountains or ride horses. Chloe hasn't had her distinctive aspect show. She's a committed 25 year old who enjoys partying but is looking at settling down with her partner and starting a family. There's nothing wrong with that but there's nothing stand out about it either. It should be a backdrop for a character, not her whole character.

she's distinctive in that if she see's something she doesn't agree with she says it out - she doesn't wait to 'test the waters' to see how she should play it - she doesn't hold it in because it might make her look bad. She just says it out - she has done this on a few occasions and backed up people when they were being accused in the wrong......thats a lot more important than the 'talent' that is being shown by the other housemates...namely, making politicianlike hand motions, walking on tiptoes, weightlifting a 46 year old child, dressing up in woman's gear and acting like a lady for panto, pretending you can rap.

She said the wrong things and I think she was caught off guard.
In her interview she said that this was the one big thing she wanted to do before she goes back to her regular life. She doesnt have any delusions about getting fame off this which, lets be honest alot of people go into BB for. She also said shes a huge fan of the show which is why she entered, she doesnt want any more from it. I dunno if it was the boring which didnt help but I really think being told she "doesnt deserve it" was what actually upset her. I mean who really deserves to go on BB according to those housemates? The producers put her in so they obviously saw something, and if people dont like her they can vote her out. I think the point she was trying to make was that she is a fan of the show and just wanted the experience, but it wasnt clear from what she said. Shes not a fav of mine but I can understand where shes coming from. |

She said compared to the others in there who have aspirations of fame, she's just normal, as in "ordinary". |

Ok. :pat: I'd probably have her reaction if I'd been told by the likes of Helen Wood and the rest of the clan that I didn't "deserve" my place in the BB house because I didn't have plastic tits and sell stories to newspapers. You and other posters are struggling to somehow validate bringing her father into the discussion when it's entirely irrelevant. It doesn't "set the scene" for her character whatsoever and what a silly remark. My own father was involved with drugs for many years, does that in anyway have anything to do with my life, who I am and anything I've done. NOT A ****ING JOT. Yes, her father's in prison, like thousands of other people. Now let's get over it and stop bringing it into threads about a girl in the Big Brother house. It's pathetic and out of order. |
I personally think making insulting remarks towards or unnecessarily discussing housemates friends and family members and personal lives should be against the rules. Talking about how eccentric someone's mum seems when they talk to Emma on eviction night, fine. Hypothesising that they're a terrible parent and that said housemate obviously has an awful home life, out of order.
If I were ever a housemate and came out to find people had been dragging my friends and families into discussions there would be hell to pay. Likewise I wouldn't like it if I knew someone who went on the show and suddenly I started being discussed on forums as if I had signed up for such judgement. It's unnecessary and it's out of order. |

She would be strange by Ch4 standards, but she's normal by this lots standards along with Cristian, and Kieran before he got evicted.
My main issue with Ch5 is that they don't show you unless you're in some horrible showmance, or being disgusting in some manner. With this series for example I think the others deliberately get shown as boring so we all bow before Marc. |
