Urinals rule except for the odd weirdo that pulls his trousers and pants down to piss in one.
I dont want to be touching some poo tainted lock on the door of a cubicle.

Yes Fella its not normal
Now its On FoxNewsHD and CNN USA

How ironic that someone is protesting about students' rights outside a place of learning and managed to use misuse the apostrophe TWICE in a three word sentence. Some kind of record, I think...

I have no problem with transgender people using a female toilet. I can't understand their objection.

I think only the second apostrophe is wrong. The first one is a possessive apostrophe, which is being used correctly. the rights that belong to girls, so they are girl's rights.

girl's talks about a single girl. If he's talking about all the girls in the school as a collective, it would be girls'.

Stuff like this really angers me, I'm fully on her side rather than the bigoted idiots.

I was in a McDonalds in April when I experienced a unisex bathroom, the men's on one side, women on the other with the unisex sinks in the middle, it was really odd, however I guess it would get easier next time I'd use it?

Although I always choose a cubicle over a urinal, I don't like the 'lads standing at a urinal' experience

..I guess that I just don't understand the objections really..if some are upset by Perry using the female loos then they can't be seeing her as a female and she is a female...but that mind-set may stay with them when in their working world, there is often only one loo for male and female use anyway...female loos are all cubicles anyway so very private...ok, maybe she could use a disabled loo or something but that's like saying...'we don't know where to put you/you're a bit of a dilemma and an oddity..'..so really an awful solution...

*bbbzzzrrtttt* incorrect, it's a possessive plural, therefore it should read:

girls'

i.e the rights of all girls. "Girl's rights" would be the rights of one, singular girl.

Unless, of course, the sign is being ghetto and is just talking about that one transgendered girl, like; "Hey, Girl's rights matter brah!". But I don't think that's likely to be the case...

Back to school with you Alex! Don't you know that the Internet is full of grammar Nazis? Can't stand them, myself...

I wavered over using a semicolon after "incorrect". I fear I made the wrong decision. It looks suspicious. You'll have to put me on Yellow, Ammi. (You now use the "traffic light" system.)

...actually I might move you straight to red and 10 minutes less posting time today just because I'm in a bit of a mood today...

Ammi 07-09-2015 07:26 AM

...you can just sit there and watch the other members posting nicely with their grammar...

The punishment should be that I have to spend 10 minutes in "Chat and Games", so that I might understand just how slippery the slope of bad grammar can be. :hehe:

I stand corrected. English is much harder than math.

'I have no problem with transgender people using a female toilet. I can't understand their objection.'

Right now let's rip these sentences apart, comma.
