It was hilarious....people on here take things far too seriously...

Ha ha I love assault.

He needs reprimanding for such remarks.

I'm half American & was not in the slightest bit offended by it.
What I am offended by is those two foul-mouthed bitches Jenna & Farrah being allowed to be seen as a true representation of American women on this show. If I was stuck in that house with those two I would have jumped the fence by now. Plus, towards the end of the show last night when Scoop was talking in the bedroom you could hear Jenna behind him totally slagging off the Brits. Jenna clearly hates them. Wanting them to be grateful for team USA winning food for them. She is an awful woman. |
I thought it was amusing! Only a joke. I'm sure he didn't mean it literally

I'm an American and it made me laugh. Hell, I'd want to smack a few of them if I could. Good, god, they're out of control!

It was a hilarious comment that let out his frustration in the context of a competition deliberately designed to pitch the UK vs the US.
People calling it xenophobic are stupidly over-reacting without actually thinking it through or seeing the reality of the situation. |
I thought it was quite funny. No doubt he'll get a load of hate for it though mainly from people who probably would feel exactly the same in his situation.

I'd like to see him try with George Zimmerman, he'll get some swift 'Murican justice.

It was a jocular comment and he did not literally mean that he was going to 'chin' anyone.
When I used to gamble in the actual 'bookies' shops and had a particularly 'bad day' - mainly thanks to losing greyhound bets - I used to joke that I was going to "kick" the first greyhound I came across. It was a joke, and Chris Ellison was joking too. And no - he was not one of my favourites. |
