I'm half American & was not in the slightest bit offended by it.
What I am offended by is those two foul-mouthed bitches Jenna & Farrah being allowed to be seen as a true representation of American women on this show.
If I was stuck in that house with those two I would have jumped the fence by now.
Plus, towards the end of the show last night when Scoop was talking in the bedroom you could hear Jenna behind him totally slagging off the Brits.
Jenna clearly hates them. Wanting them to be grateful for team USA winning food for them. She is an awful woman.

Had a good chuckle when he said the line, it shows his frustration with the inability to communicate. Crass American reality TV stars aren't his usual company. I feel badly for him, as he's most likely going out tonight, just when he's getting started.

It was a hilarious comment that let out his frustration in the context of a competition deliberately designed to pitch the UK vs the US.

People calling it xenophobic are stupidly over-reacting without actually thinking it through or seeing the reality of the situation.

I thought it was quite funny. No doubt he'll get a load of hate for it though mainly from people who probably would feel exactly the same in his situation.

Actually an acting thug as that's all he knows but gathering by watching him in the house hes forgot how to even do that.Someone buy the poor man some wine before he whines!!!

..I have a feeling that he was just getting started in a way that was going to go very badly for him so maybe went just at the right time...for me, he didn't really try to communicate or get involved much, just seemed like a totally negative person ..and if he thinks in terms of 'crass American TV stars' which he seems to, like he's somehow above them../then what does that say about him/him feeling superior in some way...

It was a jocular comment and he did not literally mean that he was going to 'chin' anyone.

When I used to gamble in the actual 'bookies' shops and had a particularly 'bad day' - mainly thanks to losing greyhound bets - I used to joke that I was going to "kick" the first greyhound I came across. It was a joke, and Chris Ellison was joking too.

And no - he was not one of my favourites.
