Oh and No offence, then say something that will either offend you or make you think you should b offended.

I hate when you have someone on the phone and they have to look for something for you and they say "bear with me".

JoshBB 17-09-2015 06:57 PM

Can I be honest with you?
100%

..I was going to say at the end of the day as well Mizzy...can I be honest with you about that..?..(I really was going to say it..)...

..I don't mind 100% but it's the 110% and the 150% that don't make sense at all...

..also phrase/expression that I think has been discussed in threads before...you can't have your cake and eat it...well, yes I couldn't eat it if I didn't have it really because if I was eating it and didn't have it, I'd probably be stealing someone else's cake to eat...

It's even worse when a bear actually turns up and sits next to them.

It's funny cos it's true

jennyjuniper 18-09-2015 07:24 AM

The phrases that really tick me off are

'I don't mean to be funny'
'At the end of the day'
and people who keep saying 'Really, really', because they can't think of a comeback reply.

When used in,something will be there shortly, or someone will be there shortly or ring you shortly.

Just how long is rotten 'shortly', it drives me mad.

It's a bit longer than 'presently'.

SharkAttack 18-09-2015 08:32 AM

Agree with so many listed here.

'at the end of the day'
'it is what it is'
'could care less'

Recently, I've been hearing a lot of this one:

"that's exactly right."

Thank you, friend, for letting me know that I'm not only right, but exactly right. Extremely helpful. I truly didn't mind this at first, but it's been gaining on my nerves a bit. Eh...I could care less. http://i395.photobucket.com/albums/p...lies/miniz.gif

"There's no smoke without fire" -- Oh No? Try taking chemistry lessons.

"Blood's thicker than water" -- It depends on whose arteries it's flowing through, and besides - so is shet.
