Very tough but here's me trying to make a top 20 while I'm bored right now. The toughest part is that there are a lot of castaways that I liked A LOT on one season and not so much or at all on another season.

Therefore, I'm ranking people on their BEST season(s), which I'll specify. If I liked them about equally on all seasons then I'll just put (all). Here goes.

1. Tony Vlachos (Cagayan)
2. Woo Hwang (Cagayan; great in both but his #2 status was in Cagayan)
3. Malcolm Freberg (all)
4. Amanda Kimmel (all)
5. Cirie Fields (all)
6. Stephenie LaGrossa (all; in particular Palau)
7. Jonny Fairplay (Pearl Islands)
8. J.T. Thomas (Tocantins; all)
9. Ozzy Lusth (Cook Islands, South Pacific)
10. Rob Mariano (Redemption Island)
11. Eliza Orlins (all)
12. Corinne Kaplan (all)
13. Courtney Yates (China)
14. Troyzan Robertson (One World)
15. Brenda Lowe (all)
16. Parvati Shallow (Cook Islands; almost as good in her other two as well)
17. Shane Powers (Panama)
18. Sandra Diaz-Twine (all)
19. Vytas Baskauskas (Blood vs. Water)
20. Jessica Kiper (Gabon)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

21. Jonathan Penner (all)
22. Aras Baskauskas (Panama)
23. Russell Hantz (Samoa)
24. Ciera Eastin (Blood vs. Water)
25. Alecia Holden (Kaoh Rong)
26. Tai Trang (Kaoh Rong)
27. Jud Birza (Nicaragua)
28. Rodney Lavoie (Worlds Apart)
29. Earl Cole (Fiji)
30. Cindy Hall (Guatemala)
31. James Clement (China)
32. Keith Nale (Cambodia)
33. Bobby Jon (all)
34. Phillip Sheppard (Redemption Island)
35. Twila Tanner (Vanuatu)
36. Missy Payne (San Juan Del Sur)
37. Jeremy Collins (Cambodia)
38. Caleb Reynolds (Kaoh Rong)
39. Alicia Rosa (One World)
40. Dreamz Herd (Fiji)
41. Matty Whitmore (Gabon)
42. Chelsea Meissner (One World)
43. Sierra Reed (Tocantins)
44. Jason Siska (Micronesia)
45. Kelley Wentworth (Cambodia)
46. Stephen Fishbach (Tocantins)
47. Natalie White (Samoa)
48. Alec/Drew Christy (San Juan Del Sur)
49. Yau-Man Chan (Fiji)
50. Jennifer Brown (Worlds Apart)

Shoutout to Chris (Vanuatu), Anna (Kaoh Rong) & Jaison (Samoa)

Probably kinda different result compared to when I was ranking people right after watching (or maybe not that different, idk). Either way, I feel like this is an even more accurate representation of how much I like the characters since it's kinda based on who has ended up most memorable for me after I've let the characters and seasons really sink in.

First I was just going through all the casts and listing potential top 20-30's just to not forget anyone and I ended up picking around 50 instead so that's why I just went with a top 50. :spin:

caprimint 26-11-2016 09:58 PM

I don't think I'll be able to make a top 20 because I've only seen from S29 onwards so I'll do a top 10 instead.

1) Kelley Wentworth
2) Reed Kelly
3) Jenn Brown
4) David Wright
5) Spencer Bledsoe
6) Caleb Reynolds
7) Alecia Holden
8) Liz Markham
9) Ken McNickle
10) Adam Klein

Max Dawson juuuust missing out.

EspeonBB 26-11-2016 10:02 PM

1. Sandra Diaz-Twine
2. Cirie Fields
3. Jerri Manthey
4. Richard Hatch
5. Natalie Anderson
6. Courtney Yates
7. Parvati Shallow
8. Rob Cesternino
9. Peih-Gee Law
10. Shane Powers
11. Abi-Maria Gomes
12. Crystal Cox
13. Jonny Fairplay
14. Heidi Strobel
15. Stephenie LaGrossa
16. Kass McQuillen
17. Greg Buis
18. Yau-Man Chan
19. Sue Hawk
20. Tom Westman

It was hard to narrow it down to 20 :worry: Just missing out: Candice Cody, Courtney Marit, Alecia Holden, Cydney Gillon, Rupert Boneham

She just missed out on mine </3 Survivor has a lot of people who I love

I prefer Alecia and Cydney though

Just a heads-up rk3388: you accidentally said that Lisi was in Cook Islands rather than Fiji, and you accidentally put Phillip in a favourites list

MB. 26-11-2016 11:20 PM

(I'll do a list at some point. I'm far too indecisive for something like this)

Yeeees! :clap1: I first saw him in Caramoan and thought he was just kind of lame and obnoxious (but somewhat funny at times). In Redemption Island he's obnoxious but funny as hell! :joker:

Phillip bullied Francesqua and Kristina!

EspeonBB 26-11-2016 11:36 PM

I thought Phillip was annoying/obnoxious/attention seeking in both of his (terrible) seasons tbh

Macie Lightfoot 26-11-2016 11:36 PM

Phillip easily completes the unholy trifecta of Survivor lore with Russell Hantz and Colton. It's not a coincidence at all that A) Redemption Island and Caramoan are two of the worst seasons ever, and B) Caramoan actually became slightly watchable once Phillip was booted

reece(: 26-11-2016 11:39 PM

Phillip is one of the main reasons why his two seasons are two of the worst. Stealth R Us rubbish took up WAY too much airtime, he was way too overedited in Caramoan for a 10th placer.

Macie Lightfoot 26-11-2016 11:41 PM

Not to mention that Phillip made Rice Wars the worst episode in Survivor history (which, wow, what a great way to spend my 18th birthday. It also followed The Buddy System, also known as the second worst episode in Survivor history.)

I kinda thought this in Caramoan but then he had me laughing probably every episode in R.I. :hehe:

EspeonBB 26-11-2016 11:44 PM

Enough about Phillip let's talk about the undisputed Queen of Survivor instead

JerseyWins 26-11-2016 11:45 PM

Also, Caramoan is a very good season (pre and post Phillip) but definitely not thanks to Phillip. On the other hand, Redemption Island wasn't the greatest but a good portion of what actually made it bearable was the drama & hilarity Phillip brought to the season over and over again. :joker:

Macie Lightfoot 26-11-2016 11:49 PM

Are you alluding to Phillip accusing Steve of being racist and equating calling him a lunatic to calling him the n-word as some of the drama that kept the season afloat? bc if you are... yikes

MB. 26-11-2016 11:51 PM

Personally I consider Caramoan to be the 32nd best season of all time

Macie Lightfoot 26-11-2016 11:51 PM

(also, idk how controversial this may be, but I think the argument can definitely be made that Phillip handled the topic of race worse than Colton did. Discuss.)

EspeonBB 26-11-2016 11:52 PM

Caramoan is definitely the worst non-Redemption Island season

reece(: 27-11-2016 12:04 AM

This season may be worse than Caramoan.

I don't think accusing someone of being racist is that bad no matter how off they are with their accusation or reasoning. People (on here and anywhere) do it all the time soo...

I don't remember the details exactly but I don't think he slandered Steve or anything.

I don't take Phillip seriously either (even while not liking him in Caramoan). No one should. That's what makes him funny, he's like a clown. But yes, that would be one of many events where he created drama on a season that otherwise didn't have any (but it's a bad example of the entertainment he brought and one you could say he arguably looked the worst in; and is controversial I guess).

Didn't Colton say something along the lines of he can't be racist because he has a black maid or something like that?

They're not even comparable. :joker:

Macie Lightfoot 27-11-2016 12:31 AM

Phillip openly stated in a confessional that he's going to make himself so unlikable so that Rob drags him to the end and his plan to accomplish this was putting on a ridiculously shtick for the cameras, then picked an argument with Steve and equated Steve calling him crazy to Steve calling him the n-word, AND THEN had a confessional about how a lot of black people self-destruct and go on mass shootings... and that was all in one episode. That's not even mentioning the bull**** cultural appropriation of Bushido code and collecting feathers from his native ancestors that wasn't even consistent with the character he was trying to play up to the cameras as. Like, "My great-great-great-great grandfather was a Cherokee princess and, therefore, I wear a feather and a blanket to channel his spirit and I can materialize things out of thin air and have visions b/c that's what Indians do. Steve don't be racist" is so blatantly ignorant that I don't see how anyone can spin that around and defend it as him being a good character because, again, the character wasn't even consistent. Say what you want about Coach but he at least had his Dragon Slayer theme on lock.

Macie Lightfoot 27-11-2016 08:43 PM

Since I've been having a lot of Redemption Island discussion this weekend (and I might try to rewatch it soon? I know, don't judge me), Phillip was also a really gross and aggressive sexist, and whether that's part of His Character or not it's really gross to listen to him LOUDLY (he's literally so ****ing loud) peddle out nasty **** on the regular.

So yeah, I place soooooooooooo much of Redemption Island's blame in Phillip's existence and Probst eating his **** up in the most nauseating way imaginable, but the season would be garbage either way. Like, you had David Murphy and Boston Rob and Russell Hantz. There was literally no way the season was going to end well.

rk3388 27-11-2016 11:01 PM

If Phillip was a female y'all would have loved him :idc:

rk3388 27-11-2016 11:03 PM

He was hilarious his first season:
-His "dry mouth" in the first episode
-Him telling everyone all the time he was a special agent
-Hunting for crabs
-Getting sent a bird feather
-His animal tattoos
:joker:
And this is without watching the season in years

Macie Lightfoot 27-11-2016 11:15 PM

Approximately zero of those things were funny.

reece(: 27-11-2016 11:19 PM

He wasn't legit crazy though, he was acting

reece(: 27-11-2016 11:20 PM

If he was an actual crazy person it may have been funny, but it was all acting in bad taste to me.

Sums up forums for you tbh

(I don't know who Phillip is, but I 99% likely agree with whatever JerseyWins is saying)
