I'm always kept waiting at immigration because I have quite a few Middle Eastern stamps in my passport. They're thorough, unlike the UK. If they've stopped these people going in I'm confident there's a good reason.

Homeland security checks are tough, my niece went and she was at first told her kids didn't need checks (5 & 12), they arrive at the airport and they do!
Luckily she had an ipad and they had all the info they needed so it took 40 mins could have taken up to 24hrs though :/
