least I was optimistic about the ratings whereas most people predicted 800k  |
You got the 19 housemates bit right
There were 18 ^
Oh yeah idk whether there was 18 or 19? Victoria and Emma were seperated but it seems like the show is pretending Victoria was never a housemate so idk?
There were 19, thanks to Victoria's desire to run free and roll in hummus or whatever she went off to do
2/7 for me it is!
What compelled you to guess 19 btw Jason? Was it because BB15 had 19 as well?

I just assumed it would be a 10 week series like usual and 16 enter on launch with 3 newcomers entering later on. But they threw them all in on launch lmao. |
I kind of prefer them all entering on launch. Gives everybody equal opportunities and stuff and newbies are usually the ones who fall victim to cruel twists.
And besides Ryan and Andrew entering the main house (when the housemates thought they were new housemates) no one was ganged up on for 'being new' and it 'not being their house' and after Natalie's eviction you couldn't tell who was an 'original' housemate and who was an Other originally so I prefer them all entering on night one.
I guess. It also prevents those original vs. newbie divides we usually get when newcomers enter and are pretty much picked off by the originals when nominations come around (see BB15)

I swear even Katie Price got the whole "You weren't here for the first 10 days so you don't deserve it!!"

She did lmao. But I suppose new housemates have always been treated badly since Bekki in BB5 so it's kind of tradition. Bekki was given a secret mission which made her unpopular with the public, the ones in BB6 could have only had a 3 day stay, and from BB7 to BB11 newbies were only ever added to protect the original housemates from eviction for a few more weeks. BB15's newbies were thrown to the dogs in terms of twists (having to evict an original making them unpopular and one of them being evicted after 4 days) and BB16's were never treated as proper housemates (although I suppose Marc got preferential treatment from producers) due to them being replacements of original housemates who were popular within the house. I used to get excited about new housemates being added but now I think I'd prefer it if everybody entered on Day 1.
