I was following your metaphor. If Ricky is wallpaper, Bear and Lewis are giant STD posters. Giving the options, its fairly obvious to understand why the wallpaper topped the vote.

I think it might be time you stepped away from this programme for a bit.

I start a thread saying that Ricky is like wallpaper and you post that some other housemates are STD posters. Just bizarre.

Even if the metaphor made sense, the thread isn't about them. You have plenty of threads you can slate Bear in. No need to hijack this one.

What's boring to some isn't to others,I don't find Ricky boring at all,what I do find boring is some immature twat trying to make people feel intimidated and thinking he is something special,take away Bears childish talk and behaviour and what do you have left ? an empty shell.meanwhile you can have a deep and meaningful chat with Ricky as he has a fully functioning brain.

The exactitudes of this particular vote aren't the point I am making. In a wider sense, I am asking how such non-existant housemates can top votes to save.

The upshot, in my mind, is that winners and losers are just being decided on the size of the audience of the programme that the housemate comes from.

We were told that vote to save was better than vote to evict and that the interesting housemates would stay.

It hasn't worked. All the sheep who watch programmes like eastenders just seem to vote on that basis.

I think Marnie will win based on Geordie Shore's current popularity.

The information we have is the people he was up against, fans of Big Brother would rather see Ricky than the 4 competitors he was up against.
You rejecting this information is why you dont understand, hope that clears things up

No that isn't how voters think.

They don't pick the phone up and think "hmm that Ricky bloke is boring as **** but I like him a little bit more than that bellend Lewis so I will vote for Ricky."

Voting costs money. Something has to motivate people to pick up the phone and spend money voting. It isn't Ricky's personality doing that. The mouth-breathers have just seen someone from "Walford" and voted for them because "Eastenders is dead good innit."

Oh.. Youre genuinely confused? I thought you just didn't want to concede lol. Um, you're underestimating the anti-vote. It definitely exists, and its definitely enough motivation for a lot of people. I dont know of anybody in person or on forums who vote based on the tv shows that they enjoy but that could be another theory too. Although, its unlikely because James beat Marnie once.. Thats more like down to the anti-vote.

I agree that it's a protest vote. The reality "stars" are ruining the show, with their lousy acting skills, showmances, idiot scenarios, and soft porn. Marnie faking a nervous breakdown because Lewis left, and OMG, she won't see him for six days, and the women crowding around, pretending to believe she was grieving, was an insult to our intelligence. A little bit of "let's pretend" can be fun, but not the all-out witless performances of people like Bear.

Of the 5 minutes of screen-time he's had 4 and a half of them have been him being a massive baby! No wonder he got the boot from Eastenders. It's just surprising they kept him around for as long as they did!

Yeah, and I'm sure the housemates 8 (EIGHT) hours in bed wouldn't have been riveting. Nor the time each spend on the toilet emptying their bowels.

But hey-ho they have to live in that confined space 24/7, do you want him doing cartwheels all day everyday?

It's quite refreshing to see someone tidying and cleaning, the house normally looks like a serious health hazard.

Believe it or not, some people like and support normal, nice and genuine people, hence why the likes of Ricky and Sam are getting support, not everyone likes loud, obnoxious twats that take joy from hurting people and upsetting them.
