Oh wait. I've got it mixed up, IKWIB was her bottom 2 for Week 8, she was safe in Week 7. But in Week 8 she sang Clarity and Don't You Worry Child.

Don't you worry child suited her but Clarity was a bad choice looking back.

I agree, if she'd sung the more slowed down version of Clarity it would have suited her more but I loved Don't You Worry Child. She was almost safe that week as well :fist:

I'm still not over him being robbed.

I agree actually, I gave up after Ella got eliminated.

Denver 04-09-2016 08:07 PM

Sharon robbed her of glory

Oaker 04-09-2016 08:07 PM

Ella <3

Denver 04-09-2016 08:11 PM

Also anything Queen Gamu Nhengu of The Zimbabwe sang

Shaun 04-09-2016 08:12 PM

*prepares the bunker for Liam- and I to support our male powerhouse vocalist who's the favourite at the beginning of live shows only for them to be endlessly sabotaged by Simon and called overrated by the unwashed masses*

I do love me a male powerhouse vocalist, give me soul and passion over a can of paint with a guitar any day of the week :clap1:

Shaun 04-09-2016 08:19 PM

omg I knew someone sang Fallin' and I stanned but I couldn't remember who

DaNasty 04-09-2016 08:20 PM

Laura White- Somebody Else's Guy
One of the most underrated, amazing contestants in the history of The X Factor. I was shocked when she was eliminated in week 5. This was an incredible, almost forgotten performance from her. I love the power in her voice

Treyc Cohen- Purple Rain
As much as I love Ruth Lorenzo's version of Purple Rain. I thought Treyc's rendition was also outstanding and well class. Both were different arrangements but I felt Treyc's more. An underrated performance

LukeB 04-09-2016 08:22 PM

Laura White wrote this grammy nominee song

Liam- 04-09-2016 08:23 PM

Did someone say best performance of the series?

Shaun 04-09-2016 08:27 PM

I'm annoyed he didn't save I Didn't Know My Own Strength for the lives bc that might just be on the same level as Ruth's Always for me.

Black Dagger 04-09-2016 08:28 PM

His Chandelier >>>>

But that performance was when everybody on here thought it'd be funny to call him Andreflop. The ****ing tragedies. So nobody appreciated it.

Shaun 04-09-2016 08:29 PM

the fumes on here when he made the final over lauren bland <3

Liam- 04-09-2016 08:30 PM

He's easily my favourite male contestant ever, it was inevitable he'd get trashed towards the end, the good ones always do bless them.

My top 5.

1. Kye Sones - Save The World
2. Lauren Platt - Dark Horse
3. Lauren Platt - Don't You Worry Child
4. Aiden Grimshaw - Thriller
5. Hannah Barrett - Skyfall (should never have been in the bottom two on that night)

But I agree about Kiera's Return of the Mack performance  so underrated.

I understand the viewers have to judge on the performances, but Lauren Platt like most of the acts that series was humiliated to make way for the Fleur show in Simon's eyes.

Lauren was clearly not a diva singer, yet was being given songs where she had to belt knowing that she couldn't sing that style of Music, it doesn't make her bad, it's just not her style, just like how OTY couldn't do Charli XCX.

And with Lauren Murray she suffered for being confident which The X Factor likes conceited personalities, plus Lauren Murray was more of an emotive performer than an actual vocalist imo.

Robbed legend </3

Mystic Mock 04-09-2016 09:35 PM

Hannah of the most recent XF divas is the strongest one.

Ross. 04-09-2016 09:40 PM

I always rooted for Melanie McCabe, it's a shame it never worked out for her

LukeB 04-09-2016 09:44 PM

2013 was a 50/50 year, it had some good people but the winner and final 2 were awful

I agree. Still can't get over her being robbed of her place in the final though. Its ridiculous to have a sing-off when there is 4 left, Lauren had the 3rd most amount of votes from the public so she should have been in the final.

Again, I agree. She put everything into her final performance and still lost out to Bland Chesterman. Awful.

Lauren Murray, Firestone
Simon was MAD when he criticised this. Perfection

Janet Devlin, chasing cars
No matter how much they wanted rid of her, Janet should've never left after this masterpiece

Lucie Jones, This is me
I also can't believe she left that week, she took that theme and killed it. Could've been her in the movie and no one would've knew

Amelia Lilly, show must go on
Although she did win the vote when she returned

And that's just a few, I could pick SO many underrated performances, a few of which have already been added!

Both would've been more acceptable winners than the ones we actually got as well because Lauren Platt would've promoted that you can sing subtle and actually win, and Lauren Murray promotes the actual raw performance element that the show never appreciates.

supertv247 04-09-2016 10:02 PM

Both Lauren's were absolutely robbed by bland males the past 2 years now. Both finals would've been a LOT more exciting and memorable with them

Firestone is my favourite Lauren Murray performance, the way that she performs it is top notch.

I also found in that year that Max's Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Secret Garden, and Seann's Life On Mars performances were extremely underrated that series.
