Legend 06-04-2007 11:40 PM

I decided to watch this series and i'm really into it. Was made up Rory went, he annoyed me from the word go... 'take your ties off'... why? Stuff like that really irratate me. I'm really liking Tre too for entertainment and because he does talk sense, i agree with almost everything he's been saying.

As for Jadine, she's obsessed with making sure 'ECLYPSE' are mentioned somehow on their products... the tea and now dog challenge.

One of my favourite shows at the minute.

SiMoN! 11-04-2007 02:20 PM

cant watch it tonight - mum want ot watch street lights or something like that

but i will watch it on demand someday

GiRTh 12-04-2007 10:42 AM

Another good episode last night. I'm surprised Gerri went, I wanted Naomi to go; she didn't have clue. Jadine was quality and Tre is by far the most entertaining contender. The bit where he summed up his vproject management skills nearly made me fall off my seat. having said that, the girls tactics were very disturbing. I'm shocked at how willing they were to sell kisses and dismayed at the lacklustre response to Dr Sophie Kain who objected to it. Dirty stinking *****s. Sorry. I'm calling it as I see it.

Red Moon 12-04-2007 10:49 AM

I was surprised the girls didn't get more of a ticking off for selling the kisses. He seemed to go lightly on them with a passing reference to prostitution.

I thought the boy's final looked good fun and it must have brought the group together and they all seemed to be having fun singing in the pubs.

BigSister 12-04-2007 11:25 AM

Im glad gerri went as shes annoyed me since the first series. Glad the boys won a round though i didnt see it were they split up boys/girls or were they mixed

James 12-04-2007 10:34 PM

The girls business selection was wrong in the first place so it didn't matter about the location (in this instance).

Tre's line - shown in the 'You're fired' show - about the Paul and Katie relationship was funny... 'this is The Apprentice not Celebrity Love Island!' hah.

Pipergun 12-04-2007 11:06 PM

In my opinion, Jadine was on her way home until Gerri opened her mouth in the final boardroom.

Both Jadine and Naomi could string together logical arguments to back themselves in the boardroom, whether they were valid or not. Gerri seemed to be incapable of doing this. This was her downfall in my opinion.

It's so strange the clearly like each other to find that sort of thing going on in the Apprentice. It was the last show on earth I would have expected romance from.

James 13-04-2007 06:39 AM

I wonder if they that is reason they rearranged the teams before the start of the task - so that those two would be together.

The change seemed a bit pointless at the time.

What do you mean the first series.. this is the third series! It's with completely different candidates!

dupin 13-04-2007 07:54 PM

I'm not sure if I like any of them...I guess I like Katie, Jadine and Tre. I can't stand Adam and Naomi.

My friends mum is friends with Katie (no lying), but SPOILERS BELOW

[spoil]
My friend told me that Katie was first to be fired, which is obviously not true, but I'm guessing she doesn't make it very far. Or my friend doesn't know what she's talking about.
[/spoil]
END SPOILER

My thoughts exactly. Effectively, Gerri saved Jadine!

BigSister 19-04-2007 12:24 PM

i meant the first episode not the first series
Anyway was surpised Sophie went I didnt get to see it last night but thought she could have survived a few more weeks at least

GiRTh 19-04-2007 12:37 PM

I liked Sophie but she shot herself in the foot when she revealed she didn't like selling products she didn't believe in.

Red Moon 19-04-2007 01:00 PM

This years lot seem to be a right shower, I really don't know where they found them.

They are so unorganized and have so few leadership skills. It's no wonder the country is in a mess with people like this in business.

Most of them I wouldn't even had given the chance to be on the show and poor Sir Alan is going to have to hire one of them.

MarkWaldorf 19-04-2007 03:29 PM

I'm enjoying it this year.

Sophie definately sent herself home after that comment. Ruined her completely.

Totally Agree

I Love this years its the first year i watched it

My Business Managment Teacher Advised my class to because its about business

Ruth 20-04-2007 12:49 PM

Sophie got herself fired - not intentionally, but it was obvious he was going to get rid of her after she said that she didn't like selling. Actually I would have preferred that it was the other girl (Natalie?) who had gone. She made the cock up with the labelling, which would have been okay if she had admitted it, but she refused to admit it until she had no choice.

I don't think much of many of them to be honest. Gazel didn't seem to have a clue, and it was sheer luck and bad tactics on the other team which enabled her team to win. I quite like Simon and Tre and that's about it.

Pipergun 20-04-2007 12:58 PM

We seem to have similar opinions, Ruth! :spin:

Sophie fired herself after saying that she "wasn't comfortable selling products that she didn't feel were good value for money". Not only does this go against the need of a profit to keep a company going, but also shows that she forgot about the cost of packaging, producing and marketing the sweets, all of which have a major influence over the success of a product.

As for the other team, Ghazal was extremely lucky in my opnion, that the other team cocked up on the selling. She would've taken up Sophie's seat in the taxi if the other team had earnt the extra £10. She showed poor leadership, and simply wasn't able to command and control her team.

James 21-04-2007 12:50 AM

Natalie reminds me of Patsy Palmer, a bit... 'Ricky!'

James 21-04-2007 10:15 AM

BigSister 25-04-2007 10:34 PM

Im biased though soph he come sfrom blackburn but yeah i like him too
I also like simon as well he seems cool and im starting to like tre too

James 26-04-2007 06:10 AM

One of the most obvious sackings yet. Natalie should have taken Katie into the boardroom but seemed not to because they were friends. SAS was never going to sack Adam when he had actually sold some pictures. Katie also looked to me to be the one most in charge instead of Natalie, but didn't understand the soft sell approach, while applicable in a real art dealer scenario, wasn't appropriate in a one-day task. Adam, despite being called negative, has got a lot of decisions right in the series so far.

£900 - £2000 is an awful lot to pay for a photograph that could be copied thousands of times if necessary.

Katie reminds me of Carol Thatcher. That is all.

Ruth 26-04-2007 08:16 AM

Natalie shot herself in the foot by taking Adam back into the boardroom. It was obvious he wasn't going to get the sack, because he did the job he was given, and also made two sales. Natalie let her personal feelings towards Adam make her decision to bring him back in. If she had been objective, she could have taken Katie back in, and I think there's a strong chance that Katie would have been fired.

Actually I find Katie irritating beyond belief. She's not actually that good at anything she does, but she clearly thinks so much of herself that she probably thinks she should be Alan Sugar's boss, rather than the other way around.

I like Kristina, Tre (purely for entertainment purposes) and Simon. Don't like Katie. The rest are non-entities really.

GiRTh 26-04-2007 08:25 AM

I'm starting to really dislike katie. It's not due to her lack of any tangible skills, but more for the constant comments that she makes behind her fellow contestants backs. That seem quite cowardly to me.

I think if Natalie had taken Katie in to the boardroom, I still think Natalie would have gone. Katie would have sliced her up without hesitating. She's cold blooded. Mark my words.

Ruth 26-04-2007 09:03 AM

I think you're right about Katie. When she said that she hoped Adam would get run over by a car, I thought it was a vile thing to say. She might have meant it as a joke, but I think it showed her true colours. I wouldn't trust her for a second.

I was shocked when she said that, cow.
I can't stand Katie, she really gets on my nerves, I hope she gets fired soon.

Pipergun 26-04-2007 03:12 PM

Katie's comment about wanting Adam to be run over was cold-hearted and far too personal for my liking. Nothing gives her the right to wish someone dead! The funny thing is, her natural ability doesn't live up to all her pontificating! :spin:

Natalie's fate was sealed, like you've said, when she chose Adam, who although negative, had sold well, to return over Katie. I still think Natalie would've gone if Katie was with her, but there would've been a chance for Katie to have been booted out.

Natalie was a kind-hearted character, but like SAS said, she was out of her depth.

Kristina's team wiped the floor with the others, but I think that was largely down to Kristina, Paul and Tre.

At this point in time, I'd put the final three as Kristina, Tre and Simon, with Adam or Paul perhaps coming into the equation. To me though, the first three of those currently appear to be the strongest.

I'm already looking forward to Katie's firing, seeing the wind get knocked out of her sails!

BigSister 26-04-2007 04:03 PM

*joins the Katie bandwagon*
OMG did she say that i mean I dont like "some people" but i wouldnt want them dead tut
oh and i like tre now too ruth

MarkWaldorf 26-04-2007 04:12 PM

Personally, Adam should have been fired IMO. He did manage to sell, but he is very negative and doesn't really add anything.

I see what you're saying but I don't agree. Adam has been negative but much of the time his negativity has been right. This bunch are easily the worst bunch of the three series. It's come to something when Tre looks like a good finalist.

The decision was right last night , but Adam has been in the boardroom twice so he needs to watch out.

James 26-04-2007 06:47 PM

In reality TV shows there are certain lines that people say, or descriptions about people, that stand out. Katie's line about there being 'energisers' and 'sappers' in life, and that Adam was a 'sapper' has stood out and is now something he will always be known for.

Jadine and Ghazal were hardly featured in that episode by the way. Always a clue that their team won the task when some people aren't featured much.

James Max from the first series of The Apprentice writes quite an interesting blog about this series. If you are interested - http://journals.aol.co.uk/jamesmaxbl...prentice-2007/

GiRTh 27-04-2007 06:04 PM

^^Good to see James Max is doing well. I like to see all cast offs from reality TV landing on their feet. Good one James (Max).

Adams hanging on a thread. Especially seeing as a lot of them are trying to get him out, it's cause they know he can sell. It's what he does. I read some spoilers on DS, and well;

[spoil]Tre is not in the final.[/spoil]

dupin 01-05-2007 04:45 PM

Well I could see that coming.

I personally like Katie, I think she's quite funny, not qualified to win it. I think Jadine is probably the best person for Alan to choose, I like her as well, and someone who's name has escaped me completley...one of the men who has only just started getting screen time. He seemed pretty cool, and professional.

Ruth 02-05-2007 10:52 AM

I don't think Adam is negative really. It's just that some of the others are so far up their own backsides, and they spout a lot of rubbish (Katie being a prime example - she talks the talk, but never actually does anything). Adam just doesn't like their claptrap.

I have a feeling that Tre would annoy the heck out of me if I had to work with him, but I also think a lot of the things he says ring true - he need to work on his diplomacy skills is all. His comment about some of the artwork (where he said that there was a piece on sale for three grand, and yet you could buy all the separate parts for about 60 quid!) was right, and many of the points he has made have been right.

Jadine has gone all quiet over the last couple of weeks, since SAS gave her a bit of a warning. I prefer the old Jadine!

Pipergun 02-05-2007 06:41 PM

I think you're going to get her back on tonight's episode, Ruth!

One of the preview clips on the BBC Apprentice page shows her and Naomi being moody with their male teammates on the ferry to France... sounds like she's coming back to form!

GiRTh 03-05-2007 08:31 AM

Absolutely fantastic episode last night. I jumped out of my seat and punched the air when Paul was fired - Truly. It really was a site to behold - After the disappoinment of the Champions league semi finals I finally had something to cheer.

Katie is digging a deeper and deeper hole for herself. Does she not think that SAS watches his own show and can seen how she's behaving. She's a snob, she duplicitous, she's controlling, arrogant and thinks she's always right and everybody should back every decision she makes. Plus, the comments that she makes about her fellow contestants are getgin more and more vicious. I will enjoy it when she gets fired.

I was quite impressed by Christina last night and her willingmess to slice Paul. Un fortunately though, the time is definitely up for Adam. The housemates faces when he came back form the board room was the funniest moment of the night.

Ruth 03-05-2007 09:28 AM

I quite like Adam tbh. Paul made the same mistake that Natalie made last week - should have taken Katie in, but went down the vindictive route instead. What a first class t**t. I'm glad he went - I can only hope that Katie, the cold-hearted evil bitch - will be next.

I like Kristina a lot. I like Tre as well, because he's funny.
