Of course its not illegal, she chose to not use contraception, he chose to not use contraception

She did however use deception, which I dont like.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 13-01-2017 11:38 PM

queen of deceptive pregnancies!

Denver 13-01-2017 11:39 PM

Also if the women lied then she would not be entitled to child maintenance?

I actually can't believe anyone is defending this :umm2:

maybe it's the right thing to tell but some people are different with they do things. I feel a woman has also got rights to do what they want with or without telling.

if she really wanted to trick her boyfriend do you really think she would say this on big brother? they hear and see everything and now her boyfriend will know about it. secrets are never a secret on big brother.

If a guy lies about being snipped, or using protection :p

As far as I know anyway..had discussions about this before on another site and I remember being a bit shocked.

If a women wants to deceive a man into getting her pregnant they she should have no rights when it comes to child maintenance and stuff like that

Northern Monkey 13-01-2017 11:45 PM

I bet she wouldn't be bragging about it if he hadn't have been happy about it and left her for being a lying loony bitch.

I honestly can't grasp that viewpoint. Putting Nicola's specific situation aside, a woman continuing a sexual relationship with a guy who doesn't want children and believes she is on the pill after she's stopped is a terrible thing to do. She doesn't get extra rights to do that simply for being a woman.

There isn't a reason in the world that justifies that.

Yeh, I am against deception from either party, its completely immoral. And if its illegal for the man to deceive and not the woman, (cba to research it, I'll take your words as fact), im completely against that too. Same difference to me.

rusticgal 13-01-2017 11:46 PM

Either way...it's deceitful and an innocent child is the result. They went on to have another and the children are obviously loved...but at the end of the day I wouldn't make it public knowledge and laugh about it..that child will know that it wasn't a two way decision and its in his interest that she shouldn't be bragging about it.

Of course not, in that case it would be

'We planned a baby then he ****ed off and left me with it' or
'It was a total accident and I was left holding the baby'

Money please.

Ugh I actually feel so strongly about this I think I need to stop replying as its actually riling me a bit that anyone can think this is even slightly ok.

That's a good point. It's like telling your kid they were an accident but even worse: 'Mummy tricked Daddy into having you'.Poor kid doesn't need to know that.

We don't actually know if he didn't want kids because he seems happy enough with two kids with Nicola. Since this story was about when they met. I didn't say a woman has extra rights because all genders can do what they want with their body. i don't fully agree with it but i would respect their decision. it's not moral at all and i will never do it ofc but i won't judge anyone over it. (well if they did it for benefits reasons then i will judge)

Of course she has rights, but what's this got to do with it?

She doesn't have a right to pretend to take contraception and deceive her sexual partner anymore than a man does.

That makes it even worse and almost a form of entrapment.

A couple in a long term marriage is one thing but a new relationship tricking him into pregnancy.

But I imagine it happens a lot with gold digging WAG tramps and horny footballers.

Which is why I said putting that specific example aside for the moment since my input was based on the issue in general (although if he wanted kids too then what purpose does pretending to be on the pill serve?). It's not simply a matter of a woman doing what she wants with her body, there's so much more to it than that. Doing what you want with your body and attempting to trick a man into impregnating you are two very different things. Any woman who does that absolutely deserves to be judged for it, and that's getting off lightly.

Let's make it about having sex without divulging STD's and sexual history so the gays can join in too. :smug:

jennyjuniper 14-01-2017 05:51 AM

This is so wrong. I had a male friend who this happened to. They had three children, she didn't work, so the pressure was all on him to provide for the family and he just didn't see how they could afford another child. She got pregnant anyway by stopping contraception without telling him and so he went and had a vascectomy without telling her!! That fourth child, incidentally is just as much loved as the other three, but it's really about being honest with each other.
If women want an equal marriage, then any major decisions must be made 50/50.

Beso 14-01-2017 07:14 AM

My first girlfriend pretended to be pregnant so i wouldnt finish with her.

I must admit it broke my heart finding out she had lied.

ebandit 14-01-2017 08:16 AM

pheeeew! it all worked out well

of course it was up to her...she would carry the bairn/be a single mother

it would be wrong if she then expected upkeep from her partner

Just shows what a desperate and manipulative slag she is. This will follow her around like a bad smell and leaves her wide open to some serious trolling now. Daft bitch didnt think this through so well did she. Oh by the way, OF COURSE SHE WAS WRONG.

Ashley. 14-01-2017 09:40 AM

I've seen this all too many times with women. And then they feel victimized and betrayed when the man doesn't wish to stick around... I don't think it's ever right to deceive someone you love in any way, shape or form.

fitz2k2 14-01-2017 02:42 PM

A man would rely on a woman being honest about being on the pill fgs.

Maybe he shouldn't then and take responsibility for his own destiny by putting something on it. I hate it when blokes think contraception is the role of the woman only - the pill is not 100% anyway.

God forbid blokes should be expected to take any responsibility for birth control!

Nope. If you like someone like that it's important to discuss it with them first.
