This too actually. I hate when you see those elderly people who have never married, have no next of kin or any siblings left. Breaks my heart.

Shaun 06-09-2017 10:50 PM

probably being stranded in the middle of the ocean. Vast things in general terrify me... I don't have a fear of heights or anything but the idea of, say, a cruiseliner getting really close to me if that situation happened (whilst great for saving me ) would horrify me.

Wouldn't your head smash open and you die before drowning?

This is pretty much what I was trying to explain. Looking up at tall buildings makes me feel a little queasy but I have no issues being at the top of one.

Ashley. 06-09-2017 10:57 PM

Oh confined spaces, I used to have dreams when I was younger that I was crawling through a tunnel gradually getting narrower. Wouldn't describe myself as claustrophobic, though.

Yeah definitely, I enjoy being at heights and taking in views, but being on ground level and being able to look up and see it - seemingly - going up forever, makes me the same.

I actually found the word for it, megalophobia - I searched it up on Google and could barely make it through two images.

Withano 06-09-2017 11:12 PM

How ha nobody brought up trypophobia though. I have a theory that everybody in the world has trypophobia.

I know Ninastar has it but I don't understand it at all :suspect:

Especially the ones connected with the sea in some way - oil rigs, freighters, aircraft carriers, whales, giant squid etc. I think it stems from a level of Super Mario 64 that I always hated where you're underwater and that giant ****ing eel keeps coming to get you :fist:

But also the idea of space terrifies me, that GIF that pops up from time to time illustrating the size - to scale - of our solar system compared to other stars and galaxies... *shudders*

I remember someone telling me years ago that someone they knew died when they fell off their quad bike and it rolled on top of them.

That didn't kill them, they died from drowning in a PUDDLE because the weight of the quad squashed them face first into it and they couldn't lift their head out of it to breathe.

Awful.

Amy Jade 07-09-2017 12:26 AM

Whats that thing called when theres loads of holes? They've used it in the recent AHS promo.

It freaks me out so much If I see it I get all tense and itchy

Amy Jade 07-09-2017 12:28 AM

Not googling it but I think Scott and I mean the same thing

LaLaLand 07-09-2017 12:43 AM

IF anyone has a fear of holes, don't watch the new AHS...

This! I'm was certain everybody had it, but then Shaun claimed he didn't

Marsh. 07-09-2017 12:49 AM

Ugh that skin care advert triggered my trypophobia years ago.

Where there's loads of people and it zooms out to look like pores. :worry:

Marsh. 07-09-2017 12:55 AM

That doesn't bother me.

I think with me it's just tiny holes close together or like skin-related. :worry:

Shaun 07-09-2017 12:56 AM

Like when you google the word and it's got loads of weird photoshopped skin things, sure, it looks horrible, but all of the natural examples of it (like shed skin, those lotus seeds, pomegranates, etc) do nothing for me

LemonJam 07-09-2017 05:03 AM

Madonna's next album.

Yeah I agree with this, I've never really gotten it either tbhh

Jamie89 07-09-2017 12:28 PM

Alzheimer's, not recognising or remembering the people I love, I can't think of anything worse

Vicky. 07-09-2017 12:35 PM

Holes don't bother me. My most ridiculous phobia is probably vomit. I mean, I doubt anyone likes it but I am terrified, both of other people doing it near me and myself doing it. To the point where I will fight it for days and says and feel rotton when I know if I just puked I would feel instantly better :S

Pictures like this freak me out...

Ramsay 07-09-2017 03:03 PM

Big fear of commitment/relationships, but also most scared of ending up alone. As you can see i'm kind of at a cross roads.
And trypophobia. **** that!

thesheriff443 07-09-2017 03:23 PM

Would say chocking on a dick, but in present company its not a fear at all.

Yeah same, Oil Rigs as well like Shaun mentioned really freak me out, again looking at them and thinking of being in the water near them rather than being actually on one
