I have never heard 'piece' used as an alternative for 'sandwich' before :joker:

Niamh. 24-11-2017 10:54 AM

I though piece was a slang term for gun?

Niamh. 24-11-2017 10:55 AM

I'd probably actually say a tayto sambo though

I'd ask someone to repeat again in English if they said that to me

Because that's what it's called where I come from.

I have to admit, I do enjoy a crisp butty from time to time but it has to be with Pringles and not just any old bag or crisps. Cheese and Onion or Texas BBQ butties are the best. Try it.

But it's pronounced "Butteh" surely :joker:. Made with a barm cake. There was a little stall where I lived in England called "The Butty Box" and I swear to god they made these roast beef buttehs that were basically THE best thing I've ever eaten. When we go to visit my wife's family I always try to get one and I cry if it's closed...

The only thing I've really seen like this before is putting cheetos or flamin hot cheetos on a bagel with cream cheese (I've tried it like once when I was young and it was pretty good).

Aside from that I never thought to make a sandwich out of just chips. I've definitely added them onto a sandwich with other food in it though.

Chip butty, bacon butty, but a crisp sarnie.
