I saw her slip up today in one of the latest videos, have you watched the one where all the HMs (except Ann) are talking about what it means to be a woman or something and Shane L started talking and Ann started rolling her eyes and then it was like all of a sudden she remembered that Shane L was her friend and she quickly changed the eye rolling to nodding and smiling :hehe:

Bless that woman and her rolling eyes, I do it often myself so cannot knock her for it

I roll my eyes all the time when I'm bored, sometimes it's automatic.

Could it be that he then said something she agreed with. It didn't have to be the way it was perceived.

It's silly, that's why. Their views are their views, if you have a problem with what he is saying then speak up, it's your right to have an opinion on his views just as much as it is the opposite way.

I don't actually recall her sharing an opinion unless she was asked or there was a discussion going on that she contributed to.

She was asked a few times, Shane j pulled her up a few times on it

She's unique, and the thing i love more than anything about her is her honesty and her manners and the fact she's been brought up well ,something sadly missing today with the younger generation ... She's been a brilliant hm8 who deserved to win,but will lose out to a label sticker ....Its a sad world we live in Niamh

Not once has she expressed her views without being pushed into airing them by people trying to trip her up for their own ends

That is what I mean, she has answered when asked, she hasn't got on a soapbox and tried to drum her views into the receiving crowd

I try to resist looking at videos all day, if you do then you've nothing really to see in the main show.

God forbid, Barbie winning is a bad enough thought but Jess would be nearly as bad a winner

Agreed, even Shane j has offered a large quantity (not quality) of stuff to the house. They’ve all contributed and add to the house dynamic

I could take ANYONE (even Jess ) winning apart from the chosen one Shane J,the thought of him in a cheap frock been carried shoulder high by his new squeeze Andrew to the nearest Travelodge for something they started to do in BB toilet would be too much to bear, in fact I would have switched off before he climbed the stairs

What a pretty picture you paint.........not

It is going to happen whether he wins or not :hehe:

He said very early on in the diary room, around the time he had one of his first chats with Ann about her views I think, something along the lines of not wanting to try and change her views or argue with her, but he wanted to have the conversation as it could help other lgbt people who are watching, because a lot of people do hold negative views of themselves because of people like Ann and hearing Shane J speak about that stuff can be inspiring and helpful for them, he's said as well about how he receives letters from young lgbt people who look up to him because of this sort of stuff. I think it's more to do with all that than it is having any sort of 'agenda' against Ann or wanting anything from her. I think it's a worthwhile reason for him to discuss those issues and tbh I don't understand why people seem to have such an issue with it, it doesn't take up much of the show, he doesn't talk about it all the time, and it is probably very helpful for some people watching so it's doing good if that's the case, and like I said it's because of people with views like Ann's that there are some of the problems there are in the first place, he's just providing a counter to that and using the show to get it across I suppose.

If he had stuck to just doing like you have written, he would have done well.

His incessant pontificating about it at every opportunity has had the reverse effect and become boring.

His association with Andrew and his backing when Andrew name called was bad judgement.

His going from person to person badmouthing Ann has also been seen and not in a good light.

Like India said, He may have cocked this up.

Vanessa 30-01-2018 04:41 PM

Jess will be fist out on Friday. Shane just doesn't agree with Ann views and its his right.

I just think it's blown a bit out of proportion tbh it really doesn't seem to me like he's been going on about it that much (although I didn't think India went on about being trans that much either and I was pretty alone on that I think  ), and his going behind Ann's back didn't happen often (and he seems to have resolved it with her anyway after last night).
He did stand up to Andrew about the name calling though, he told him he was against the words he'd used. I think it's unfair to judge him negatively just for being associated with him.

the best way to find your answer sign up to live in a house with ann for 4 weeks . quite frankly think shane j has done well with all the rolling eyes and disgusting comments . with little to do in that house you will always end up with some gossip this years been tame compared to some

She hasn't made any disgusting comments........if she had, she would be out of the door, it was Andrew.

Ace post.
Thoughts and observations there I didn't consider.

Really Jamie, a great and fair post.

The bit about people with anns views are the problem that there are....can you expand on that?

Cause the door seems pretty open to the lgbt community these days!.

All he does is talk about Ann and her views behind people’s backs, there was a 45 min long highlight show where that’d all he did over a day. He’s obsessed with his agenda

....he briefly discussed Jess the other night when he pretty much called her out for lying about her cotton wool phobia..then it was back to Ann bashing.
