I've noticed Channel 5 seem to be aiming at an older audience with a lot of their programmes recently.

Apparently these are the average ages of viewers per channel:

BBC 1 - 61
BBC 2 - 62
ITV - 60
Channel 4 - 55
Channel 5 - 58
E4 - 42

I always thought E4 was the channel aiming programmes towards the late teens/young adult market with programmes like Tattoo Fixers and Celebs Go Dating.

They should just relaunch with an actual game format like other countries' Big brothers, it's always a mess when the public decide everything

I'm maybe OK with this... as long as they don't interrupt it with constant ITM's chatting over the games and group conversations, etc. That is so annoying in the US version, it makes it pretty much unwatchable. Especially the overuse of stock music, it makes it sound like a special from HGTV...

celeb love Island (which featured a bb3 contestant) beat bb in the bb ratings BUT it was because it was on ITV....the main ITV channel. same with survivor was on a more commercial channel but bb still managed to get 10 million viewers! That's massive for channel 4. Those shows all got cancelled but bb is still on our screens 18 years on. The new Love island ratings are so overrated

Yeah with 10,0000 bc or whatever which flopped and must have cost a fortune to make then we had that **** show about exes being with other couples or whatever which also flopped.

True. Love Island gets 2 million and apparently it's a big hit. That's like a 1/3 of what Corrie gets

Younger viewers watch more stuff online than via broadcast TV.

BB is in a position to reach that market but C5 aren't interested.
