Sorry, temporary removal of scrummy avator necessary as OH has now shouted that he's coming upstairs to see what I'm up to!:shocked:

LEE 02-03-2002 08:31 PM

Hi Rob, how's your task knowledge then? At least it wasn't the week with the funny percentage, that would have been cruel.

Romantic Old Bird 02-03-2002 08:34 PM

Did you see my answer? We posted simultaneously!

LEE 02-03-2002 08:36 PM

I did see it ROB, but are you sure. Wasn't it 50%, or maybe 30%?

Romantic Old Bird 02-03-2002 08:40 PM

Now then, don't torment me lee! I'm as sure as I'll ever be! BTW I am apparently, deeply, deeply sad and I'm certifiable, and it is evident to my OH that i need to get a life!!!!!

LEE 02-03-2002 08:44 PM

Don't worry ROB, we still love you :thumbs:

Now, you have just said 40%. If you had gone with answer A and said 20% you would have been wrong,

If you had gone with answer B and said 30% you would have been wrong,

but I'm so sorry ROB, because as you've gone for answer C 40% you are.........

LEE 02-03-2002 08:48 PM

:hello::hello: WELL DONE!!!!! :hello::hello:

Phew, what a night......:spin2::spin2:

peachy 03-03-2002 05:40 PM

It certainly was quite a night, by the end of it those of us who'd stayed with it for the entire four hour marathon were like damp rags. I felt as if I could hardly think or type any more and as for poor ROB and Lee, I dread to think how tired they must have felt. But it was worth it, and she did it, no thanks to me, who failed at the crucial question. Thank goodness, she took no notice of me! So well done ROB. Those of you who've done it know just how hard it is.
If I could just sing I'd be doing a Freddie Mercury:
"You are the champion, my friend" and we'd all be swaying with our cigarette lighters in our hands.

Feefs 03-03-2002 06:02 PM

WOW - that's very impressive. I am yet again in great awe of you ROB. All that swotting has really paid off. You really have been a diligent student and an example to us all.

:hello::hello::hello::hello::hello:

BTW - does removing your avatar really prevent your OH from worrying? I take it you don't actually let him read what you've written. :shocked:

Romantic Old Bird 03-03-2002 06:11 PM

Good grief feefs, he has no idea!! When he came up he just glanced at it, not long enough to sus out that I was ROB, and of course only saw the questions and my circumspect answers! The photo might have led to questions of an embarassing nature. he doesn't understand the www, thinks it's complex, and can just about manage an email with help. I'm keeping it that way!:laugh::thumbs:
