In my head I know it's childish and disrespectful but in my heart it's also hilarious and I guess it's a bit of karma to a disrespectful man :hehe:

As for alienating US tourists... The majority of US citizens who are fans of Trump have most likely never left their home state, let alone the country.

Who is supressing the right to free speech, if Americans flew an inflatable blimp of Khan I would say the same thing, it’s inane and has no place in a protest that wants to be taken seriously

The people who think it should have been disallowed / banned.

Maybe. Protesters in the US would be allowed to fly it if they wanted to, though.

from about half a mile away it will look like a Mcdonalds balloon. No one will see it bar the twats holding the string

American businesses (or multinationals based anywhere else for that matter) don't care about anything but their profit line, they're not going to take an ideological stance of any kind. In fact... If Trump blimps suddenly become very popular, they'll probably start selling them themselves :joker:.

I've heard these Televisibop doodads are becoming more and more popular though LT. It's like a magic window that let's you see all sorts of things from all over the world up close... Right there in your own living room!!

I was surprised too and a little scared at first, but I have to say it has been really enlightening and I wholeheartedly recommend saving up for one.

This idiot is an unelected, plastic "Mayor" with zero power .My niece is a councillor and was invited to his robing ,needless to say she didnt go ,neither did countless others ,Hes a muslim and being used to make the people of South Yorkshire look inclusive, Im sure if they had given it a bit more thought they could have chose someone a lot more suitable than this idiot

It’s very sad though - playground stuff - even more evidence, if it were needed, that the far left are very childish and petty! Perhaps they should concentrate on others things more suitable to their developmental stage as well as learning a valuable lesson about those in glass houses!

user104658 06-07-2018 09:33 AM

Trump is all about "playground stuff". I'm not saying that I think it's clever or a good idea (mainly I think it's a waste of time), just that it's par for the course in politics these days, and "banning it" would be overly authoritarian. Freedom of expression is freedom of expression, for everyone, whether their message is "daft" or not. Really bugs me when people are all about being "non PC" and "freedom of speech"... But only when it suits.

Whether you like it or not; banning this silly blimp would be an example of "PC"..

Maybe - but maybe being on the receiving end of PC for a change would teach them another valuable lesson. If they are so quick to dish it out they can surely take it in return - or not!

Yet Bush and Obama were welcomed with open arms ,even though they both separated children from their parents ( if this is Khans gripe )

Niamh. 06-07-2018 09:40 AM

Have I missed the part where this was all Khans idea? :suspect:

See he didn’t even win the most votes which usually is the marker for a democratically elected president in most countries. He won by the system, not the people.

i would have posted the picture of the woman with a sign saying “trump is a cunt” but i think that’s breaking some kind of rules so i wont.

but i agree with Niamh on this. The reality is that it is quite unnecessary but also Donald Trump is a massive bloody wanker. His beliefs, in my view, have absolutely no place in 2018. the way he speaks about women, ethnic minorities and the LGBT community is absolutely disgraceful and he is an awful person. He just seems like everything that you do not want your world leader to be - almost seems like an exaggeration sometimes.

In my opinion...
Yes to the baby trump balloon thing
Yes to banning him from Sheffield
Yes to potentially rubbing his hair with a balloon to make him look a twat
No to him being treated like a saint when he comes here

The same would have applied to Obama, Clinton and all other American presidents. The system is the system that apples to all - so your point is pointless!

Obama won the most votes
Clinton won the most votes...

Ergo they had a mandate

George Bush didn’t the first time and I’d have argued then he shouldn’t have gone to Iraq because of it

Read up on your facts next time

If you shoot a gun in London you deserve what’s coming to you especially in this high security climate.

Obama won the popular vote by nearly 10 million votes.

Trump LOST the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes.

... It doesn't apply at all?
